The cyclone caused some damage but it appears the Test will go ahead, and the outfield is OK.

Chennai generally a high scoring venue 1st innings, and some rain in the forecast. A dead rubber, which India tend to lose, makes England attractive at 6s, especially if they win the toss.

Juce we even learnt how to unsettle a player with a few choice words. Make them angry. One player told us to deliberately throw the ball and hit a batsman in the back when they were taking a run! Outrageous yes but if you haven't been exposed to it you will not know how to react.

Oh and we have plenty of old pro's in my town. They don't even bother gathering behind the town hall anymore but stand on the old Roman Road waiting for business!

I think most of our guys probably had that look at some point during the series. Hussain was saying pretty much the same thing about Cook "having that look" during the Sri Lanka series in 2014.

I think with the amount of whispers that have been mentioned in the press, and that the ECB and England Camp are, selectively, as leaky as a colander, it's odds on he'll go.

Given the embarrassingly soft ride Cook has got from the main stream media during his tenure, I would take a perverse pleasure in its being leaked that he was pushed rather than walked before he got the chance to announce it himself.

It would, at least, be consistent.

Incidentally, this Jack Leach chucking thing is beyond shameful.

Marcus Aurelius nailed how to deal with it when you encounter it normally:

Not to be constantly correcting people, and in particular not
to jump on them whenever they make an error of usage or a
grammatical mistake or mispronounce something, but just
answer their question or add another example, or debate the
issue itself (not their phrasing), or make some other
contribution to the discussion—and insert the right
expression, unobtrusively.
