Thats why the comms on the radio said this morning that they did not think they would get any play. They know the NZ conditions. Rain radars here look clear at the say 256km mark but then when that bit gets closer... hey presto all of a sudden you get colour appearing.

people on the radio were asking for updates from the ground. Comm said, well you obviously know why we are not going there..... implication is that it is still raining. But if and when they update, I will post on here. Waiting for tv to go back to the ground too but that has not happend for a long time now either.

light spot at the moment but looks dark towards the South and heavier in the afternoon. 6 Pakis are on the field playing soccer and groundstaff working. But if the rain comes which they think it will it may be for naught. Time will tell. Still hoping for some play....

live pics now and still raining. Had a break but its raining, covers were taken off at one point but rain came in again and covers back on. All covers that is.

My synopsis... I think intermittent showers are going to ruin play today. NZ team not at the ground yet.
