Pecker,

it is difficult to forsee what can happen sometimes. This is what I expected to be honest but the way the Pakistan openers started so confidently against a moving ball and seeing that fat spinner come on first change you could not imagine for one minute what has since transpired! Pakistan gave many of their early wickets away and I thought the Pakistan bowlers would get plenty out of this pitch.

I stuck with the NZ lay as I think such a price reaction so early in amatch gives you plenty of opportunity to recover. I am still at 1.59 NZ lay but thinking of topping up.

Actually I recall Nicholls looked good at times but kept getting out! I hope that continues!

The ball did quite a bit more after lunch when the clouds rolled in. However, the pakis didn't help themselves with some wretched batting

It's like betting on matchbook, fcuking chronic liquidity in play

Batting last in NZ is not like other places so NZ look very well placed.

Liquidity is a joke. Kinda of fcked if your trying to lay the draw or Pak off for a decent sum. Even worse if you do profit and have to pay 20%+ PC next Wed.

Hopefully NZ will learn and leave Guptil to the silly stuff. I am liking the look of Raval, first time I have seen him or heard of him if I am honest.

I hope the draw is still on here. I also think it might be overcast tomorrow and good to bowl so NZ are still good value to lay here. I might have a last top up. Even if NZ get 250 I think the pitch will be flattening out and Pak cannot bat as badly.

I am not going to make any derogatory comments about NZ players as they are coming back to bite me on the jacksy. de G has a good record in domestic cricket so I was a bit unkind although I have to say if it didn't swing you would fancy him!

Winviz says not, WD, 0.2%.

But this may be a case of it doesn't do a good job in NZ, where wickets often improve during a match. I don't know.

I think you are right pxb. I think the pitch will play better as the match progresses but there will probably be something in it for the bowlers tomorrow morning. If Pakistan get to bat after lunch tomorrow they may well be back in the game.

all depends on conditions after first hour...a bigger lead could imply a draw...strangely perhaps..

Draw not going far down until Pakistan bats, really. It might shorten a bit, especially if runs are slow to come and will go out with wickets but the game can only be drawn if Pakistan bats long and the market will be cognisant of that.

Draw remains vaguely in play if Pakistan bats long, especially if it flattens out, almost irrespective of what the Kiwi first innings does, although obviously draw more likely if it doesn't need the Kiwis to bat out quite a few sessions to survive and if Pakistan approaching their innings defensively quite a way behind.

My position is a bit screwed and I'm not quite sure what I want to happen. I've got 1.6k Kiwi red from lays at what felt like low prices at the time, as in before they took all the wickets for hardly any runs; 2k Pak green and nearly 5k draw green. Definitely want Pak in the game but I'd like the draw to remain in the market. At least it's nowhere near as bad as my position in the India England game.

Get that NZ ought to win from here, even if this innings folds quickly but don't really feel I can pass up going a bit redder on Kiwi at 1.26. That's a crazy short price from a small lead 5 down when there's even a chance that Pak could bat long enough to threaten win or draw facing a big deficit.

Agree 100% FS, crazy price
