It looks flat as so far but then that's not always stopped Broad and Anderson in the past. I'm going to take on yet more draw here. I'm irritated with myself for laying India, albeit a small bet, because I knew the market wouldn't care too much about wickets unless we saw several of them.

Pujara off the mark first ball so Indian price back down immediately to almost where it was before the brief blip up following the wicket.

Great bowling Anderson and the Indian price still doesn't care. You wouldn't mind but it's hardly as if the wickets have come from England getting the ball to do loads to provoke the thought that India will do the same.

England batting last on what will probably be a bunsen. They'll need a substantial first innings lead, 150?

Right, I've layed India for a grand to go a very deep red on them indeed and have got even more draw, just in case being around £4K red on them wasn't enough. One of those bets has to work, right?

Still think this is flat and that India will get a fair few runs. It's now far more likely that England will get to bat before the pitch deteriorates too much though, which ought to make for a significantly more interestingly game if the England batsmen can bat competently again. I'm going to guess at India 375, England similar and the draw down at 3s before both second innings collapse.

Hmm, I'm always a bit disdainful of people attempting to predict innings scores so far out. Ignore me.

When it comes, probably, although they're likely to be a fair few on by then. I think getting either batsman here before India get to 40 would give the market a wake up slap but Kohli would be a harder slap, yes. It's odd that the draw has really noticed the wickets and the India price not. As in, for sure, losing wickets hardly prevents India winning, even if it does make a huge total far less likely but as I said, it's not as if the wickets have come because of the pitch so India's chances of making full use of a good batting surface at this stage have surely declined significantly. I suppose the market very much believes India will still get enough to win.

Ditto. It isn't turning that much yet though. Interestingly, the India price not only wasn't terribly bothered by the wickets but also came back down fairly readily with runs whereas the draw noticed the wickets and hasn't come back in much, although it has at least got to nuzzling range of some of my lays back.

the draw price quite often gets stuck and then drops like a stone, i hoping that's what will happen here as we approach lunch with no more wickets

Would have been well stroppy if India had lost a wicket on a stupid run out on such a flat deck (with me £21.5k green on draw).
