India to win 5-0 was 9/1 with slybet whilst England were playing their 2nd test match in Bangladesh. It halved in price after England lost.I'd say the 9/1 was nearer the mark myself.

You would have to fancy 5-0 but not at the current prices. Very good chance that India would hit 4/1 in running at least once over 5 tests.

Just a little note to 5-0 backers, India have taken part in 33 series of five Tests or more. They have never won more than two Tests in any of them.

Whose backing India to win 5-0? I'm on England to lose 0-5 and I am pretty confident of that happening :D

7.0 for 5-0 is a joke. India will hit 3.0 in two tests for sure as they did in one against N.Z in the first test recently.
I personally think that it's worth waiting for India to hit decent prices in running and double/treble it up. India hits 3.0 twice and wins pays 8/1, India hits 4.0 once pays 3/1 but if it hits again and wins it pays 15/1, India hit 2.0 3 times and that pays 7/1.

More value doing it the way above as you only need 2 or 3 of the tests to win and no weather worries.

England might win the toss and make a score then where would 5-0 stand?

woooooo, what happened then ? India price crash.!!
By:
Whisperingdeath
When: 08 Nov 16 17:34
that is not a crash Dan!

I thought for a moment the women were sent out again with wire brushes and the coin was double headed!

I am going to punt England for the hell of it and be ready to take a loss if the toss goes against me. I've not seen young Hameed bat but I like the sound of him. Would have Butler instead of Duckett. Looks like India might have a new star RR Pant you heard it here first.

at last i can post,thought i'd been banned!..been a few days trying

any way alarm is set and been looking forward to this one for a while.
Hammeed thrown in at the deepend when he could have opened in Bangla with Duckett up the order in the last test?(who gets paid to make these decisions, baffling)
as i say i will be up for the game so no early bets for me,every test lately has had big swings so if i miss Rajkot express i will be happy to watch Ashwin & co show their skills.

This is the first Test to be played at the new Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot. The last 10 first-innings scores in first-class cricket read: 551/239/102/238/519/659/207/72/400/475. It's a mixed bag but one thing is clear: it turns.

A bit fed up with all negative talk of England being brown washed. Laid India at 1.58. If they bat first then they're quite capable of losing a few early wickets. If England bat first then it shouldn't be turning much. If it goes tits up then so be it but I'll be surprised if India don't go over starting odds in five days.

Terry if it's the log in to post message then what always works for me is to start the forum and then Create Topic.

But, weirdly, it's not easy winning a toss in Asia. England are the only travelling team to win a toss in the last 15.

There is a film called Sholay from the 1970's it's like a cowboy type epic and the two hero buddies toss a coin to see who goes first and risk the gun fire. At the end one of them gets killed and the other finds the coin and realises his mate had been taking all the risks first because it was a two headed coin!

I'm just saying!

Joking apart, it really is amazing how many tosses are won by the home team in asia, didnt pakistan win all 3 against the windies. Especially considering the away captain calls.

1st test - Ravichandran Ashwin Top India Bowler & India to win @ 2/1  ??

Any value in that price ?
By:
DAN1974
When: 08 Nov 16 19:53
yes, i would say there is toffee.
By:

When: 08 Nov 16 20:29
Ashwin is 2.6 for top bowler and India are 1.6 for the test. How is 3.0 a value bet for both to happen?
By:
toffee87
When: 08 Nov 16 21:37
because if Ashwin is top bowler then its likely to be a turning track - if it is a turning track then there is only one winner unless you feel Moeen, Rashid and Batty will out bowl Ashwin and Jadega

I'll be Laying India if Eng are batting 1st, that series v Saffers India played last year was not an Indian train all the way through and this one won't be either.

already laid India 1.58, windies gave them a run for their money. England much better than windies, all this 5-0 talk Grin
