Compelling stuff indeed.

The market doesn't expect WI to offer any resistance at all with the bat.

And I think that's gonna be the case too,  Windies Batters are going to be defeated by Nawaz and Yasir just like Ashwin and Jaddu did to Kiwis.

I suspect you are right, Robin.

This would have been a rather more interesting match if WI had batted first.

is there a possibility that the windies get off to a good start(say 50-0 or 100-1) AND the market gives us some funny prices?

Depends if the ball does anything under lights tomorrow. As soon as it does (and if), Pak will declare and I am afraid WI are toast.

But if the pitch stays flat, and no real turn or movement in the air, then 50/0 could happen, and the draw will crash.

I could lay back my draw for a smallish green at this stage and I'm tempted to, as there's got to be a chance of some excitement tomorrow around declaration if nothing else and the chance to get some draw higher again hoping to lay off for a sizeable profit if WI start well. Alternatively I can wait on hoping for better things but I've been waiting for the draw to come in to 4.5 all day and the market won't have it that Pakistan scoring untroubled runs not all that quickly makes it any more likely to be drawn. I actually think the market is probably at least reasonably close to being correct, I just didn't expect it to be so stoical.

I'm thinking Pak will declare at least a fair way before the close, presumably 15+ overs out given that the best chance of the pace bowlers being threatening has to be under lights with the new ball. Of course they'll hope for spin and reverse too but would be foolish not to take the opportunity to see what happens, given that they'll have plenty of runs to boss the game before tea, let alone after

I didn't see much of the last two sessions.
Much movement or spin?
Any problems with dew?

I didnt see much of it juce, i think there was a bit of slow turn.

Ive cashed in my draw bet for a smallish profit, i will sit and wait for another opportunity.

Cheers, going to let mine run for a while. Hoping to get down to 4.5 in the Pak innings.
I will be laying off before WI start batting, I haven't got any faith in them!

I didn't know what to expect in this D/N match, but now I'm getting a picture I'm backing and laying the draw.

1.4 seems a fair price for Pak. India were 1.4/1.5 after getting 575 against NZ on a deteriorating deck.
This doesn't look like it's going to break down anytime soon
