how is Jordan still playing for England
|
|
By:
mike
over 375 is 1.2 |
|
By:
prior thinks the side thinks 370 is gettable.
a score that england have only have managed to surpass twice in their one day history and one of those was against bangladesh. |

Thought that was worth a review, might have been going down leg.

it's interesting that when new zealand bowled out england for 123 in the world cup, everyone happily acknowledged that it was a bit of an outlier, yet when we score over 400 it's the dawn of a new era, rather than an outlier at the other end of the distribution.

Good point, Dstyle. I think all because this was a new line up, the one most of us wanted, new coach etc that you could almost point to a reason rather than just because that's what people wanted to believe.

400 now 1.9

jordan's taken over from dernbach as the bloke no one can understand how he's getting a game
|
|
By:
mafeking I was just thinking exactly the same thing!!!
|
|
By:
what's happened to the latter?
|
|
By:
If Corey Anderson wasn't injured, NZ would be about 1.65 for 400.

Ronchi could yet be top scorer
getting all the strike |
|
By:
yep, an easily accessible narrative.
this is awful awful bowling, apart from rasheed, who for utterly mysterious reasons was bowling the bulk of his overs at the two best players of spin in the side and is now bowled out when the slogger who can't read his googly is smacking it around the park. |
|
By:
so England saw NZ bowl gash the other day and go for 400 and decided to bowl the same way today
it will take more than a new dawn to get 400+ today i hope they win but..... |

jordan's taken over from dernbach as the bloke no one can understand how he's getting a game immensely unfair on jordan. I'll admit his bowling isn't good enough, but dernbach was a whole other level of utter sh1t, as well as not being able to bat and field as well as Jordan. |

Roy's average is 6.0 today
|
|
By:
Can you imagine if Cook was playing. England would have lost before they batted the 1st ball.
![]() He would have seen the run rate of 8.00 and actually sh1t himself. |

Roy looks miles out of form

Prior baffling Botham
![]() Good to have some more tactical input from a recently retired player. |
|
By:
it annoys me that prior goes on about taking the ball in front of the stumps and all the work they did on it, but couldn't be bothered to read law 28.
wicketkeepers should be breaking the stumps with their arms not their gloves if they take the ball in front of the stumps. |
|
By:
Have to admit I never knew that DStyle...I assumed one had to use the hand to break the wicket.
|
|
By:
yeh I never knew that either, doesnt make sense to me
