Traded out in the 2nd over. Always the same Aus scores a few runs and odds drop like a stone.

|
By:
maybe good time to back aus?
|
|

Got to hand it to McCullum - has captained brilliantly here early on. Aus in serious trouble. Surprised that they haven't sent in Haddin before Maxwell/Marsh here.

By:
had a dabble on aus now! see what happens
|
|
By:
that's probably what you didn't want to happen

lol

By:
97/6 haha. NZ making a statement here as to who the real favourites for this competition are.
|
|
By:
no idea why Aus would send in maxwell/marsh in those situations. Not their natural game/not up to that kind of role yet and it showed.

wheres all the sledging and chat gone , bunch of ****z pipe down....if india don't win it i really hope nz do the biz!!! |

Southee bowled a couple of rippers, but think they others have really got themselves out haven't they? On a 60 metre field, against this batting power, needed a minimum 350 I would have thought. Long way back from here. This is no England we are playing where we can be 5/90 and go on to score 300+.

australia are poor team
|

Aus are a top side - have shown that in recent times. NZ are perhaps just even better atm in this format. Clarke on form is obv one of the world's best - big pressure on him though here coming back into the side. Lucky for Aus they bat all the way down - going to need it.

australia are an aggressive side that dominates well.
this is so interesting because i reckon the kiwi attack in helpful conditions could be the best in the world right now. under bmac's captaincy they don't hold back, and so we see a bowling side not being scared of australia and going hard at them and not letting up. something they aren't used to. and it starts to ask some questions of their batting line up which i don't think is as good as their recent performances might suggest. |

The batting lineup is defo better with Bailey in the side imo - not sure how you accommodate him though. Watson is the obvious weak link but he bowls you a few overs. Definitely re-evaluated my own opinions based on this game. I had aus 1, nz 2 with regards to top sides in this comp. Clearly the other way round. This type of hammering (should nz go on to finish the job) will take away the fear factor from aus going forward in this comp for other sides you'd think.
On a side note, will aus get to 123? ![]() |
