Selfishly took the entertainment and game away from the spectators and gets out on 99. At least we get a comical moment in Test match history to make up for the anti-climax.

ok, boof and smith facked up there. they didn't realise that lunch would be delayed for up to half an hour or until their innings ended.

So Australia have declared! Play was supposed to be halted for lunch, but since the last wicket were in, they can extend the session by 30 minutes. After the end of the last over, Australia decided that was enough. So that brings an end to the most boring, insipid two hours of play which was interspersed with rain. Australia didn't want to push on, India were happy with Australia's tactics and it all led to boring cricket. |

It was Clarke on the boundary with Lehmann calling them in. If you think Smith has any power at all in the team as yet you are dreaming.

Clarke is captain though officially. Smith is just a stand in and nothing more, no way has Smith got any power like Rob says.

Steve Smith is not a joke cricketer at all. He is a fantastic cricketer. But he had close to zero influence in any decision today and that will remain the case whilst Clarke is officially captain.

I'm sticking with the draw at 1.82. After a few overs the price will drop by the ball if there's no wickets. Early wicket and I'll bail but I want it all at this stage. Also chance of more rain.

I only saw it when 1.77. Slip which is why I'd be laying the draw now, India could easily collapse.

I'd be putting a few £ on India as well alfee, highly unlikely they will get these runs but green up on all sides, don't leave anything to chance.
