What's everyone got here? England players released to play, and 4 decent sides it seems - should be a good day's cricket if the weather holds out.
First semi sees Surrey vs Birmingham Bears. Surrey have already released their squad and it looks very strong. Gary Wilson (capt), Zafar Ansari, Gareth Batty, Rory Burns, Steven Davies, Jade Dernbach, Matthew Dunn, Aneesh Kapil, Azhar Mahmood, Kevin O’Brien, Robin Peterson, Kevin Pietersen, Jason Roy, Chris Tremlett. Warwickshire liekly to welcome back Ian Bell and Woakes, but despite home advantage I feel that Malik is a big miss for them. Surrey to win.
Second up Lancs vs Hampshire. No idea how this one has been priced up with Lancs as underdogs. Hampshire have won the tournament before, experience etc etc. However they are simply not as good a side this year as they were in previous. Maxwell and Abbott not available hence no foreign player for them this time round. Previous years they had Afridi, Tahir, McKenzie, Mascherenas, Tanvir etc who all added something their side. This year they look hugely reliant on Carberry and Vince. Bowling attack looks very light with Coles, Briggs, Wood, Smith, and Tomlinson/Ervine maybe. Lancs on the other hand have Jimmy Anderson and Jos Buttler available. Lancashire to go through.

Seeing that there are over 24 hours to find a 30 minute window to complete 10 overs....As you say, LAYING @ 15/1 is certainly "Buying Money"......

I reckon they have given 2 for the noball when it should have been one making it 159 ? That might be why the runs line stayed open?

lancashire's handling of flintoff epitomises the misery that is the domestic t20 in england.
if there were still places available in the champions trophy for english sides i'd get it, but christ, it's a dour way to handle a format which is supposed to be all about entertainment.

Nice long holiday coming up for Horton - you just can't do that
Need to start the 20th over by 9.33pm, tight if a wicket (because Lancs can delay 60 seconds).
Could have been 6 runs extra for Lancs, but apparently Brum just OK by seconds.
