I always find it bizarre that most bookies will not allow a 4 fold on top batsmen - in what way is it a related bet ?

I know toffee..fcking ridiculous.Only 365 allow you to combine.

Good luck to anyone getting involved in T20 Finals Day today. Weather looks set to be good for most/all of the day.
Some things to bear in mind that you may not know about Edgbaston... 1. Only 6/29 scores under 150 have been defended at the ground in T20s. Only 8/35 scores of 150 or above have been chased. 2. The highest total chased at the ground is 184. The lowest total defended at the ground is 133. 3. From the start of the 2012 season the chasing team have won 9 of the last 12 matches. But bat 1st won 2 of last 3. 4. Teams scoring 40 or less in the 1st innings power play have won 1 out of 12 matches. The full report is available at CricIntel (dot com) but hope these snippets act as a good guide on what to expect. |

how's the weather looking today folks?

Worse as the day goes on, the dodgiest time weatherwise may be late afternoon / early evening.

piebach over tremlett is a poor decision imo - too expensive/easy to hit. Still fancy Surrey here though, esp now that they're chasing.

An England 1-day opening combination of Bell/Hales/Roy (any order) would be a match for any side, if England are brave enough to go down that route.
We're the worst at making use of Powerplays. |

I've missed Dernmug

An England 1-day opening combination of Bell/Hales/Roy (any order) would be a match for any side, if England are brave enough to go down that route. We're the worst at making use of Powerplays. there are two choices for england. either pick their batsmen according to the conditions or make the following decision: do you want a side that does well in difficult batting conditions but fails in easy ones or the other way around. the answer is simple for me, based on the fact that it's easier to teach an aggressive batsman to reign it in than to teach a defensive one to attack. there's also the massive problem at the top of the order that we have one opener who doesn't hit through the covers and straight down the ground. |

Surrey - BB to capitulate
By:
Birmingham can be flexible with the batting order now if a wicket goes, Laurie Evans has a great strike rate on a going day.
By:
Look's like a really good pitch - 8 an over shouldn't win, need to get the burners on
By:
Mahmood 2 overs left, Peterson 1 over, Dernmug 2 overs, this could be anything.
By:
market loves Surrey but Birmingham will win this imo

great Dernbach back !

By:
Leg side full toss, then another full toss. Dernmug stealing a living off Surrey.
By:
market will just love Surrey batting line up so odds to plummet I'm sure
By:
shot son - this pitch is a 200+ surely !
By:
pitch looks an absolute belter, always going to be though with it being the first of 3 games - surrey's fielding hasn't helped though.

pace bowling has been v poor but suits me
