cricket is definitely long to medium term. i like to timebox/overbox my position against the stop loss.
e.g. somewhere at the beginning of this thread i said i'm comfortable backing the bowling side for the first 40 mins on this deck. no wickets after that time and i'd take a red. wickets let it run until the conditions change or i think the bowling side are too short. |

I don't really see how you can scalp on a rain affected market. Once it starts raining the draw will, I would have thought, decrease and rarely can you do small up-down bets. You can lay off at shorter odds if you've laid at higher odds but I wouldn't call that scalping. Just laid draw again at 2.6 and if goes to 3.6 i'll lay that part off, that's not scalping though. |

the accuweather radar is free and its pretty spot on. Updates in 5 minute intervals

Up to 5 minutes before.. right now its up to 3.05pm. No future but you can track the path of the rain over the past half hour so can judge where its going

the radar made me a shitload last year in the final of the champions trophy. Completed match eng v ind. laid the No massively at 1.1 as on the radar you could see a clear passage.

No I don't like leaving stuff to hang unless they are long shot Hail Mary's. The England and draw price became volatile very quickly so I just hovered. Not huge bets to be honest, just top ups. I got on at 1.68 and 1.75 |

I think pakistan have to bat one good session to see off the arreas. The pitch will be rolled so they should do that. The draw price should crash after an hour or so. They can only lose if they want to and of course that is the real gamble! I saw Herath bowl on the final day at SSC against SA. As well as he bowled the batsmen looked pretty comfortable and the pitch was spinning more than Galle. Pakistan play spin well. He is an orthodox sla not a mystery so I feel pretty confident. Good bowler though and the off spinner is too then Pak have Ajmaal |
