warne and bumble should not be allowed on at the same time.

Reckon England need at least a 50-75 lead as they are batting last and don't have a proper spinner

It was up to around 9's - Prior has bottled it but could end up in anyway

good take from dhonut.

big pressure on prior, especially given that he didn't fancy coming out tonight.

Met Office early warning for severe weather might as well say "gonna be thundery Saturday, but don't know when or where"

I just cannot see England winning this match. My betting strategy is to back India over 5 and to lay England odds on.Am hoping England be around 250 all out and India get the same in their 2nd innings before spinning England out.

Present position
England  -143.90
India    +288.80
Draw     + 85.50

Can't rationalise the close of play betting England 11/10,India 3/1...just doesn't make sense

Draw is a gift. Two days, 1st innings with chasing team 76 behind and amber warning of rain and forecast thunder showers! Beside a collapse conspiracy what is holding the draw up?

I agree. Lay Eng is the play here. Might lose a session and a half tomorrow.

theres been 2 drawn test matches at lords out of the last 12, and both of those matches had first innings of over 450 runs for both sides.

the draw needs pretty much two full sessions to be lost. and even then, india to get at least 300 2nd innings. possible, but i wouldnt bet on it.

if the rain arrives, then everybody who backed the draw will be crowing about it like theyre mystic meg. truth is the forecast is for roughly a 50% chance of heavy rain/thunderstorms hitting london. london is a big place, even if it hits london its not an absolute guarantee it hits lords. if it does hit, it could wipe out most of the day or it could just wipe out a session. its a total coin toss as to whether storms hit the ground or they dont. this is one to keep an eye on the weather all night. its likely to either hit bad or miss completely.

Looking at the radar, by 10am Lords will be most suited to duck hunting.

the forecast has deteriorated markedly.  There is now the possibility of a washout today.  There is now also potential rain tomorrow.  I have no idea why the draw isn't odds on.

it is likely that the final session will be washed out.  I think there is a good chance of play this morning.  It is cloudy and dark over Lords right now.  It could well rain this morning but is a suck it and see situation.

Update  it is spitting now and darker still
