why as England capt wouldn't you back your bowlers to get an edge first up by giving them 4 slips? I don't care I need runs !!!
By:
he's put a few more in now, after they've edged through the cordon.
he's atrocious. and it's so obvious. |
By:
pitch still looks fantastic !
By:
10 miles away and its raining and looking VERY VERY dark, heading towards Lords !!
By:
amazed people are still laying the draw here, effectively just giving money away
By:
I hope you are right Grant...also the weather is looking like it may now play a part soon !!
By:
finally at the facking stumps
By:
Herath didn't look too hot at the crease

England could be 7/4 another wicket

By:
selfish cricket at it's best !
By:
what happened to the cricket forum? now just seems to be endless childish ramping ..shame
By:
be interesting to see how attacking England will be if they lose a couple early.
By:
Think I made a mistake not buying England at 6.4 just before the new ball with mahela and Sanga at the crease but this still has the look of a draw about it. It is pretty cloudy in West London, a little dark. i don't think it will rain though.
Here's the thing if England do bat the ball may swing and where will that leave the price on Lanka? Far from England pushing for victory they may have to try and save the match particularly if the lead is less than 100 . I think there is no foregone conclusion to this match as yet and leaving yourself exposed even to the draw is dangerous. |
By:
I'm just sticking with SL for the moment - I think England are a pretty attractive price though
By:
I agree i can see a scenario england bowl out by lunch and loose early wkts themselves.. if england somehow collapse it would leave door open that lanks can hijack the win
By:
Can't see anything beyond a draw here even with no weather intervention tbh. Any time lost to rain would be a bonus.
By:
Once Mathews hits 100 he'll open up a bit - could score a lot of runs quick or of course strike out.
By:
good knock - well done son !
By:
curiouly the more runs SL get in the first innings, the less likely they are are to win
By:
lack of time will make Cook go super cautious
By:
I'll take every run - less to chase on day 5. Long time left in this match - I reckon the draw is way too short
By:
England on the drift here!
Trader time. Bowl them out and England will go down and then When England bat the price will go up again and as if by magic |
By:
going down surely
By:
Yep think time left both be happy with draw cook will make game way out of reach for lanks before declaring. Its hard to see a total collapse of innings on this pitch
By:
over reaction on market here
By:
So the next wicket will fall quickly to0
Good time to lay England again me thinks but a bold one! |
By:
agree betfairchat !
By:
Just get the last one quickly please and a 130 lead is still quite big. Draw still almost certain.
By:
absolutely Whispering.
worth remembering that england have been bowling with a moderately old ball all morning. the new ball may well move around in these conditions |
By:
Quite a bit of swing around this morning but I don't think there is enough yet for spin to have a big effect. Hope I'm wrong
By:
Crazy over eaction. We will get another wicket now. then if England hit a 4 off the first ball what will the draw price be?
getting ready to back the draw again at 1.8 ![]() ![]() |
By:
agree that the England and SL prices should be closer together than they are. Draw is rightfully short though imo.
By:
All bookies slicing englands chances too

It is dark over Lords! but relatively cool.

By:
Cant see cook declaring by end of today even with quick runs
By:
would love to see England a couple down by lunch !
