By:
yep couldnt see this greater green day three may as well let it get full green now
By:
Well, this is beyond England now. 1 of the 3 results can be discounted.
By:
bowling conditions aren't too bad for the next two days looking at the forecast, but draw layers i suspect will need something spectacular from herath to force a result.

By:
Sri Lanka are now shorter price than England to win the match . Why ?
By:
not yet
By:
Changed with Sangga'a wicket . The more you look at it the only result foreseeable is a draw .
By:
1.23 looks very big to me
By:
4-5 wickets a session on this pitch now... DRAW
By:
impossible not to be a draw, england will bat till end of 2mrow and not possible to get 10 wickets on this pool table

By:

By:
how can england win it? please explain as I don't gettit!
By:
eng ll not declare unless they get 400+ runs lead in their 2nd innings..so u can judge how much overs play lanka in thier last..
By:
They can bowl Lanka out in an hour or less tomorrow - bat most of the rest of the day and give themselves 90 - 100 overs to
bowl Lanka out on the final day and a bit. Pitch might start to rough up a bit. Not saying that's what will happen but it is definitely possible. |
By:
By scoring quick runs tomorrow and getting a average size lead, but not too big. On a 5th day pitch SL will have to go for it and get bowled out.
By:
Last post was to McCarthy.
By:
thanks, but do we REALLY think thats possible ???
By:
Still theoretically 180 overs left in the game McCarthy - a lot can happen in that time.
If you think that England cant win it lump on the draw 1.39 available. |
By:
IM ON ENOUGH THANKS !!
England 2.96 £100.00 £196.00 Sri Lanka 28.53 £22.19 £610.92 The Draw 1.77 £4,693.38 £3,632.36 |
By:
Good luck mate.
By:
sri lanka do only have 3 experienced proven test class batsman. could see them being 5 down all out if you can get sanga and jaya cheaply. not a lot of strength in depth
sure the draw is strong favourite and this pitch looks lifeless at the moment but 100 overs is a still long time in the 4th inns |

How many runs do people think Cook will want to set Sri Lanka to get in the 4th innings?
It's looking likely that they will have around 100 lead on 1st innings with 5 and a bit sessions to go. So they could be 300 ahead at the close of play tomorrow. Cook is usually defensive with his declarations and won't give them a sniff of a win(unless he's changed)so could be looking at around 350 with 2.5 sessions left and unless the pitch deteriorates a lot Sri Lanka 125 for 2 at 5 pm then the captains shake hands. |
By:
cook is an absolute prick, wont declare until its physcially impossible to lose by which time it will be impossible to get 10 wickets, draw = £££
By:
agree, unless this coach is aggressive?
By:
ideally you'd want half an hour at them tomorrow night but to do that england will need to score around 260 in 60 odd overs leaving something like 370 in 97
doubtful even whether cook would take that risk on such a flat pitch. guess he want them needing 4 runs an over minimum |

come on SL - can these last 3 score a shed load and frustrate England ?
By:
broad is so single minded when it comes to bowling short.
bumble and mikey quite rightly talking about setting him up with a fuller one, broad goes six in a row. does this against all sub continent batsman. |
