By:
theres nothing on the radar after this one. obviously rain can pop up out of nowhere, but i dont think it will cos theres not much rain about anywhere.

Looks the sort of pitch that batsman's only way of getting out is by mistake, Both teams may only bat once
By:

Thought it was out tbh
By:
.... thought so too

Probably a good call by the ump. I would have stuck the finger up live though.
By:
..... I think I agree with Botham
![]() ......... if DRS shows hitting stumps then ok, stay with Umpires's call but don't lose the review. |
By:
this isn't going to be a draw
By:
nope - don't agree Wallflower.
it's against the premise of DRS that you believe that there is conclusive evidence to overrule the original decision. botham is confusing it with how close the technology showed it to be. i'd perhaps be slightly more sympathetic to the idea if sides only had one review in an entire innings, but with 2 reviews and the reset with the new ball, i think the status quo is correct. |

Bit early to make England 7/1 isn't it
By:
The whole thing needs to be scrapped. It causes umpire error and creates the need to use it just by having it.
We have the technology, and the third umpire should be informing the on field umpires if something questionable has happened and reviewing it. If there is no appeal, then checking no balls and such. The whole idea of an umpire is that they rule supreme. The whole "how's that" even questions that, but to then turn around and tell him he is full of siht and to get a second opinion makes a mockery of the men in the middle. And even if you do use the review on a howler, how do you know you are going to get one? Are we suggesting that we have no faith in the umpires being fair and just? If a decision is made, it should be reviewed straight away without the need for the players to do so. They ask the question, only fair they get the right answer. |
By:
....forgot about the reset after new ball, fair enough changes it slightly to keeping as is
By:
......tough going this, down now to about -2.5% of bank after an opening lay of draw and clawing some back.
But this is a grind at the moment......no real opportunity at the moment as far as I can see, ie. vulnerable price |

Any idea what time tea will be?
By:
I usually have it around 6pm or so
By:
someone mentioned afternoon session was 2 hours 50
By:
Hours of play (local time): 10.30am start, Lunch 12.30-13.10, Tea 15.10-15.30, Close 17.30
By:
Current time: 14:04 local, 03:34 GMT
By:
Will Chris Rogers be giving Aussie fans their money back today? Maybe James Faulkner can field that one for us
By:
400+ imo, they've barely beaten the bat and the only wicket was due to a dismal shot.. the review was 50/50 but then again it was Rogers on strike
By:
extended afternoon session, think tea is about 1 hour 20 mins or so from now, not sure exactly
By:
Watching paint dry more exciting than watch Chris Rogers bat
By:
England really need to go 4-4-2 and start playing diamonds in midfield
