Finch went out on a ball that held up plenty.  Have been plenty of others.  England look to have bowled poorly.

But I have and always will base my opinion of the pitch and the proportion of players that score and score well on it.  To this point, they all have (have to allow for a player getting out in the first few balls).

So for mine, I think Aus have a good enough start to see them well home from what I can see.  But the scoreboard tells us differently.  If I could see a wicket coming, or Aus playing questionably, they would be a big lay, but I can't see where the next wicket is coming from.  Tredwell bowled atrociously, , as have most of the others.

tbh I don't really rate him.  He was one of those WTF players.  Made his debut at international level as the captain of Australia.  WTF.....
Not neccessarily justified, but certainly scored enough runs to see why.


In regards to the pitch.
If you were to weight it up as the pitch being a road versus England bowling being under par, I think the bowling argument wins out.  The pitch is no road, but Englands bowling has been very poor.  Their line/length has been terrible.  Bopara for the most part has bowled pretty well in regards to where he has pitched it.  The others, woeful.

Open to either result, but the more I watch, the more I think England won't even get close to this.
