Umpires often have the last word. I hate them with a passion. Idiots the lot of them.
RIP Test Cricket. Ruined by bureaucracy. How do you explain that to your kids or to casual cricket followers? |

Go and check the laws of the game. |

Can't blame the umps they just implement the laws

those last couple of minutes will have been painful for some market makers.

England needing quick runs, and bad light is a bad combo where safety of the fielders is concerned. If a fielder was smashed in the temple and died, the sh!t would have hit the fan

I'm done with test cricket - I haven't missed a televised match in 15 years. I ain't watching it any more

The whole sport is a laughing stock. DRS is in disarray, umpires never do anything about slow play and a team can play for a draw after one day of a 5 day match. Then to end it all, they stop playing for light at the end of a cliff hanger when they have full floodlights on.

how can u say tests are shambles, here we are 3-0 up dead match and I have been on the edge of my seat for last 3 hours

Umpires could and should have put 20k fans first.
Starc seemed to see the stumps fairly well..... Hate this. |
By:
draw unless all wickets lost then tie
By:
and they didn't even start until 11.30 am. Dismal.

England got what they deserved. They have made a mockery of the series with their delaying tactics. The only fair result was to end the game with overs spare. They have cost the series minimum 30 overs, so really bad luck.

can't believe people on here, If England was in Australia possible they would be happy to come off for the bad light. Rules are rules and you can't just change it because of circumstances.

Only people who lost dough are moaning. Neutrals or England fans that didnt have a bet wont give a toss.

I'd back myself to outtrade you anytime BJT.
Twice on this thread you've shown you don't know the laws. I made £79k on the match by the way. See, anyone can aftertime a profit. You're all wind and p1ss. 3-0 by the way. |

4 overs were OFFICIALLY left.
Umpires had to have the last word. Did Starc see the ball, pick it up and throw the wicket down? Thought he could see quite well. Officials spoil it for the fans as always. Sucks. |

Wallflower not just England all test teams would have done the same You got them same sunglasses as BJT --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Not at all. Completely objective throughout - only interest was my pocket. England players to their credit are not complaining.......they were bowling at 11 overs an hour, so there is some poetic justice in them running out of time. That's all. |
By:
Strict over rates need to be implemented.
By:
Well he wanted to get off quick enough. Spineless
By:
boycott quite right, Clarke wants to make a game of it, then few overs left and a chance of losing hes all over umpires to go off for lights
By:
i lost nothing and im moaning that its a stupid way to end the match. i couldnt give a **** what the laws are, the laws are wrong. if the bowling side take forever, the law should be that they have to bowl all the overs unless the batting team want to go off.
By:
draw if scores are level unless scores are level with batting team all out - then it's a tie.
By:
You don't know the laws of the game.

wallflower - true they dont care as they won 3-0, if they were 1 down and ended like this you wouldnt see the same reaction

draw free money WAS NEVER IN DOUBT,

Did anyone seriously expect the umpires to unilaterally overrule the playing conditions agreed at the start of the series?
By:
I should think there are 20 thousand fans , many of them who did not have a bet, who are extremely pissed off. That was one of the worst decisions ever made in sport.
By:
i said at tea that they would not have 44 overs to bat, was surprised that they got 40 overs and all the time the clueless gower kept saying, time is not of the essence we have to play for 44 overs

By:
the problem is the rules, not the umpires.
