I must have missed something obvious,
Rain |

For the rest of the day...?

Or, England needing about 35 overs to get there....

Well yeah, they weren't exactly flying before. Seems worth it to me though, got 2.3 in the end.
By:
They ain't coming back out. 2.3 is a lay price.
By:
Dreambrother, the latest observations on the Met Office website show a massive band of rain covering the area SW of Manchester. I would be surprised if they get back on.
By:
Fair doos. Seems you need a lot of patience for this game
By:
this is exciting isn't it.

i think they could easily get back on. or could easily not. hth.

75 runs is around 4 (very weak indicators), 50 runs is around 3.00.
By:
Its astonishing what a rip off regular bookies are. PP are 1/300 on the draw and will give you 25/1 on Aus. Margin!
By:
whats happening with tea then?
By:
my max bet is £10 on 1/300 as well

Surely they'll go out of existence or have to radically overhaul things eventually as (if) people wise up
By:
Tea now.
By:
Are they definitely taking it? They pushed it back to 1610....
By:
bookies dont care anymore, they all make enough money from virtual casinos and nonsense like that. they just offer sports betting cos they have to.
the govt should bring in a law that bookies have to take bets, regardless of who the customer is. its pretty ridiculous really. tescos dont ban you if you only buy stuff on buy one get one free! |
By:
Yeah, brought to 15:40
By:
A few holes starting to appear from Wolverhampton up to Stoke.... Might be just passing to the east....
By:
And bob, I agree. They should get traders who can do their job rather than fearing everybody who dares to do well.
By:
how many overs can they play in theory?
By:
I've lost track.... Was 98 in the day at the start of play.
By:
AM I right in thinking the umpires would chose not to come out for say only 30mins at the end of the day?meaning if that was the time conditions brightened up and all mopped up etc?or do they happily and pointlessly restart the game?
By:
In theory we could all sit here and do this every day. The cricket seems to be a very small part of proceedings. Just pick a place, all talk about how the weather is going to change throughout the day, get someone from betfair to go over there and settle the market.

By:
Would be nice to think they given the opportunity they'd go out and see how it goes for a bit
By:
i think its fairly random. sometimes they come out when the draw is inevitabe, sometimes they dont. my guess is they would ask the aussie captain if they want to come out or not.
thats actually a good idea. betfair can we have weather betting please? ![]() |
By:
I suspect they will shake hands around 5pm
By:
Forecast looks abysmal. May as well shake on it now to be honest.
By:
No they won't come out for an hour or 30 minutes, if both captains agree, that no possible result, apart from the draw is likely to happen, so if Michael Clarke, thinks he can get 7 wickets in an hour, they will come out, if he doesn't (very likely) the game will be over, as a drawn match.
By:
whoever bought those non-refundable tickets last night must be bonkers. lucky they got to see owt.
By:
though not as bonkers as whoever layed the draw at 1.3
![]() |
By:
When will it be officially called a draw ?
By:
Can Australia still win this?
By:
actually forget that... the draw on the chart went to about 1.6??????
cant be right shirley? |
