No bet yet - watch and see.

Just had a tickle on Trott & Bell as top 1st innings runs.

One bet for me here. Prior top Eng 1st inns run scorer 11/1 with double odds if he gets a ton.

Exactly. Obviously I'd love no wickets and England to add 196 for the first wicket, but this is England we're talking about so wickets are likely Sad

Copy and paste it.  Want to try to quote me, do it properly.  Don't just claim I said something without backing it up.

Anyone who backs draws in tests these days needs their heads looking at IMHO, especially here, where one of the last TEN has been a draw. Weather set fair and draws just way less likely these days. Always good to see someone has dug up the stats, but your 'England = mug punters' section needs reworking. Centrebet, for instance has England at 1.90, plus there's plenty of Aussies on here too. How far back do your averages go? I admit that, as you say, on paper these stats look similar, but may belie the fact that Eng are a vastly improved team in recent years, and Aus are a vastly worse team than recent years, with the political turmoil. The market will overreact either way to a good/poor performance as the first team goes out to bat. Anything like the last match should give everyone a chance to get out with a profit. Backing Eng as a starting point, and don't consider myself a mug

What do you mean how far do my stats go?  They go back to the start of every current players careers.  The players averages and strike rates.  They aren't the average scores of Aus and Eng, they are the total of the averages of the players playing in the test.

The expected scenario based on the players playing today.

How is that not a geniune edge? Alright, he had the bat facing down and slightly open, but it still only caught about an eighth of the ball, right on the edge.

It was just played with soft hands.
