I don't recall seeing a crazier price than the 14s on offer for NZ here. No spinner admittedly but that may be the only area that they trail England. Excellent seam attack. Excellent fielding side, and whilst NZ have an historically fragile batting lineup, suddenly there is legitimate competition for its' incumbent batsmen. Ay side that Guptill can't get into cant be too bad.

In the last few years though not many touring sides have won the first test of a series! Normally under prepared.

NZ usually put up a good show at lords, but i think their brittle batting will let them down,it must be england @1.81

It won't rain at Lords for any of the 5 days mark my words! I am laying the draw at this stupid price.

What BF needs is a Total Overs Bowled market for Tests.

Likewise.....opening play for me last couple of days is incremental lay of this draw, average at 2.58 at the moment, so happy enough. Not moving on it.

(Though generally speaking I'm not a weather-bettor...still scarred from a huge percentage loss of bank in a CB40 match about 3 years agoCry)

Also have had something on 2metre Peter, series most runs for the Kiwis. Hes been in good form will get 4 bats and should be suited to English conditions.

GL All.

Good morning all,

NZ does look silly at 14 but Im happy enough with my draw lay at an average of about 2.4

Would be nice for us to win the toss now just to get things away to a smooth start

Pitch looks a good un at Lords... Sun is out.... Batting seems a good option to me... More clouds around tomorrow...

Oh, Test Cricket, how I've missed you !

I'd been getting fat and lazy on a diet of IPL cricket for far too long now, I almost forgot what cricket was about !

If that's the way you feel, back the draw and go do something else.

draw is short because england are going like snails to see the new ball out and the weather doesnt look great. if new zealand start just as slow and bat well the draw is nailed on.

50% likely chance to rain tomorrow, this is England people and it's not summer yet. Laying the draw is risky in my opinion, I've backed it hopefully trade Day 3 when NZ is still batting!
