Australia would have to have India 6 or 7 down, with around 100 runs to chase

from what I have seen of the pitch its spitting balls left right and centre, if I was Clarke id just bowl the 2 spinners first up tomorrow, it will be an advantage bowling last, a chase of around 85 runs could be interesting

I think for the Draw to hit evens , Australia would have to bat at least 60 overs tomorrow, with a lead of around 180 or so

85 would be optimistic but Australia wont be scoring slow, so 65 overs to get them surely easy victory for India.
I think a 55 chase would be favourite with me

yep and ud be about right..............but I wouldn't be sleeping easy if I was an Indian backer, if Aussies somehow managed to get a 100 run lead or so..........definitely not a 1.01 job on this wicket

18 runs or more= 2.20 (45.45%), 43 runs or more= 4.50 (22.22%), 68 runs or more= 7 (14.28%) based on the odds . Would love it as an Aus backer if they could get their 100 run lead but I know im dreaming.........

Absolutely no chance of draw - should be 1000/1 unlayable.  Aussies have a tiny chance - probably 1/100 as per market

What scenario Aus to win - 1000/1 for me
By:

When: 25 Feb 13 13:28
If Aus put on a further 100, surely means easy pitch.
India can do the same, why should it change when they bat.
Simple

10% chance of some apparently.  Can't see it being an issue.  Be very surprised if it extends beyond first hour.

why on earth are AUS less likely then draw?  What a crazy market.

daft. dont listen to that indian bookie guy nigel. he's a known ramper.

draw needs aus to add another 150 runs with 1 wkt left. never happening here.

Even if AUS add another 200 runs (at say 4 an over)

India probably have another 45/50 overs to chase 240 - easily done on this pitch.

The price is beyond belief.

Aus are less likely than the draw for obvious reasons.

If Australia get another 100 then obviously India should get far more unless wicket deterioates like a madman in last 1-2 hours

If Australia gets out early India wins because they will get the runs.

The only way Aust can win is if Aust get a reasonable score and out because they will be worried about India win and play for draw and India capitulate against Aust inferior bowling attack. Odds really remote on that.

The most likely left field is a draw as last two bat out and India can get the runs.

The other thing is overnight India know how to play Aust last 2. They no they need to Contain Moses and try to get Lyon out with their best bolwers eg. Aswin etc... because under this scenario even if Aus hang around they will not get many runs -eg. India win in the end chasing them

Well both are highly unlikely.

Aus getting another 200 at 4 an over for Laugh, Odds would be well over 1000/1 for that. Never happened before surely!!! Lyon is a new batsmanLaughCrazy

Can't be a draw then!

Ha ha, I doubt the batsman are worrying about run rates unless India are chasing a big total!!!Laugh

if you think the draw is more likely than an aus win here you shouldnt be betting on cricket. Devil

Agreed. It's never a good idea to risk more than half your bank on any one market imo but was tempted to do so when draw was sub 100-1.

Disagree with this.  The Draw was not even close to 100/1.  Lix reckoned 300/1.  I thought 1000/1 - you can still make decent money from 1.01 shots IF they are less unlikely than the intrinsic odds.

By:
Charkitz
When: 26 Feb 13 07:54
Yes I agree 1.01 shots can still be very good value and profitable long-term if the right approach is taken. I just don't like risking more than half my bank on one market, regardless of value

Fair point RE: bank size.  I tend to limit myself to 20% but will go >20% if it's "too good to miss" - this was one such example.

And to add to this discussion - I think Cricket (particularly test cricket) is one of the better markets out there for 1.0x value - Football is terrible.  Our old friend "Bravado Trader" could a pummelling yesterday.

Aussies weren't that bad.  They could play out a draw in at least one game.
