think i might get rid of my draw bet..

Average first innings score here 275.
Speaking with my South African mate here he said that any showers are likely to be quick sharp bursts that usually occurs across a Joburg summers day, with 20 minutes lost if that. It's rained across most of the test matches here in the last decade; no draws in 11 matches - doesnt get dark till 7:30pm. |

is this not on tv?

Have I missed something, Saffers at 1.46? Had to lay that for the sheer outragousness of the price at Lunch on the first day.
Doing the rain dance now too. Would imagine SA to win but who the hell knows at Lunch on the first day. Maybe I should have gone to Specsavers instead on Poundland but my glasses say South Africa are 1.46 to win the First Test at Lunch on the first day. Could someone kindly confirm that as I am now not trusting my eyesight? |
By:
saffers a bit short here.
By:
didnt even move after the wickets
By:
rain damn you
By:
any thoughts on the wicket?
By:
am i the only 1 who thinks the draw will be a huge runner here.. looks like a road.. rain about most days.... will hit eves at some crazy point knowing the over reactions
By:
layed SA earlier @1.52, just backed draw @4.9,
By:
The pitch is doing a fair bit, but only if the bowlers can place the ball in the right areas. Pakistan havent played a test match in 8/9 months and their warm up game was at East London in totally alien conditions to here. Hence a fair bit off the boil.
The last delivery seamed after hitting a crack - those will widen I reckon. |

Wowzers stunning catch!!!

By:
I still kinda like the draw in a sense but will wait until close of play to assess where we are.
By:
as there is chance of rain on monday and Tuesday looks like being a heavy rain day.
By:
1.5 here is a joke.

Here's a weather update from the all-knowing Firdose Moonda: "The late afternoon storm is brewing, but it should spare us, maybe after play it will arrive."
By:
is it me, or do the indian market makers who ply their trade here hate pakistan more than they love india; if such extremes are even possible.
By:
By:
1.5 does seem a tad short however. I'd probably have it 1.7 ish
By:
run rate slowing right up

lol. sconned by ajmal.

so what's realistic by close. Max SA - 300 runs perhaps 6 wickets down - will the draw still be 6 then?
