at the moment my book,
-313 SA +371 PAK + 761 DRAW, hope PAK get through the new ball tomorrow, then i will reduce my red. |
|
By:
the comms ramping SA already... 250 is a **** score here... now its a match winning score... @ 230 they was talking about 350 being a good score... make up your ****g mind..
|
|
By:
its an old cliche i know but we won't know what is a good score on this wicket till both teams have finished their first innings

Big red Pakistan here. Might need some heavy rain to save me!

I shouldn't worry too much MP at this stage of the game. 250 is probably going to prove slightly below par. Anything above 350 for Pakistan would be beyond my wildest dreams although I hope the next 5 sessions are in favour of the batsmen.
I am not sure a 100 run lead will be enough for Pakistan batting last. I have a feeling the first session will determine if Pakistan have a good chance in the match. The pitch is against the side batting last. Then there is always the Pakistan factor. Will they throw the game from winning position? I'll be looking to buy back Australia from 1.46 should Pakistan take a decent lead, green out and watch with mirth the suffering of others. Of course is Pak are skittled I am doomed, doomed! |
|
By:
Not the genuine suffering you understand just frustration with the book movement.

From my point of view I'd love to see South Africa batting tomorrow.

What a funny old day that was
Cant believe saffers still 1.64 only 12 ticks above sp guts me Sat is the moving day like the 3rd round in the golf pakis bat sensible and get a lead very much game on, orthey fall 50+ short they in huge trouble only weather can save them One positive was seeing how much the pitch was aiding spin ajmal could have a field day second innings Games nicely poised, weather i feel is gonna play a big part mon especially tuesday so just wana see a nice slow sensible innings from pak tomorrow Saffers only won 3 from 8 here and have alot better record at other venues like cape town, so a draw mite not be a bad result for them here Whats everyones thoughts? Having a 5 day test between two world class sides is like a breath of fresh air compared to that bull. **** bpl on a terrible channel crap commentators and way to many adverts Who said test matches are dying out ![]() |

I don't see the rain saving anyone Skips. This could be over after tea day 4 with two top quality bowling attacks, a tinge of green on the wicket and cracks in the pitch.
I might suggest laying the draw should it shorten might be the salvation for some. I don't trust Pakistan and will be looking for cover as soon as it presents itself generously. Rule 1 as always applies: Don't lose any money! I for one am not throwing any Hail Marys. In and out like Flyn for me. Then watch and enjoy the cricket rather than looking at every tick on the book. |

By:
weather will most likely play its part days 4/5 provided paksitan do not collapse in their 1st inns

I was huge red after backing the draw at 4.2
Was not a nice board to look at for the last three days But as soon as saffers were batting first i layed some of the draw a 4.8 And had 900 on pakistan at 7.0 Been reducing my red on saffers to make it look a bit more healthy my cash out button is showin green for the first time lol and not four figs red always Still dubious on pakis just praying they can somehow take a lead of 40 runs plus give me some juice to get a nice green Another nervy night awaits me gonna have a few beers to help ![]() |

By:
Trying to keep nibbles of green in favour of Pak.Cant watch whole sessions of them batting without trepidation.
I'm basically in agreement with Whispering. |
|
By:
Seeking cover that is, not sure that so much generosity will appear,as such will not leave to much liability up.
|
|
By:
hmmm. made a real mess of this.....
SA -6 PAK 8 Draw -5 Think I'm going to hold the PAK position and (hope) they make a reasonably good stab of it tomorrow morning with the view of laying them heavily around 3 to being the SA and Draw position back level. Still reckon the draw has an outside chance. |
|
By:
maybe back draw to level nigel as fair price and have 11/8 pakistan draw no bet for now
![]() |
|
By:
hmmm... when in doubt reduce to minimal liability so that's what I've done! Really can't call this at all.
Only way draw happens is if game goes beyond day 4 (day 5 looks bleak for any play) which does look unlikely from here. |
|
By:
good luck to skips and Nigel ... my work is done on this one for the moment , that safer collapse was just what i needed
, maybe we get a bit of draw panic if pak bat well and the forecast doesn't improve |

Only seen the highlights but pretty much all of the SA batsmen got themselves out. Nothing I've to indicate the pitch is as bad for batting as history suggests it would be. If, and it's a big if, Pakistan can bat sensibly, no reason why they can't get 375+. Laid a fair chunk at 1.69 SA.
