meo - the captain can be fined or banned for a match or 2.
Today's captain is in the role because AB de Villiers, the usual skipper, is banned for slow over rates! In T20 cricket, the punishment can be 6 runs per over not bowled by a certain time. Why that doesn't apply in ODIs is baffling. |
