"Not a draw here"
Is this in the same breath as "No way SA can win this test its nigh on impossible" after day 1 of this test?" :-) |

Superb thread title!

i dont care if its flood season.. no way this is a draw..

Bit of a mug off this one.
Probably best laying short prices in running. The WI/NZ ratio looks a bit excessive to me. |
|
By:
hope nz bat.. and get WI @ 3ish....

draw on the drift already

looking forward to seeing Wagner bowl
this Kiwi side is not as bad as i expected. Think the market is overrating the windies a bit here although Chanderpaul and Samuels have been pretty solid recently Barath and Powell both look walking wickets to me and Gayle can knick one on 0 trying to smash it for 6 could be an interesting match |
|
By:
Market seems to have factored in a Gayle double century and a Narine 10for here.
Backing WI at odds on faves for a test match is hardly a road to riches. Definitely a wait and see for me - if I miss out so be it. |
|
By:
Don't count out the draw here if Narine doesn't fire. I expect him to do well though. Pitch will be low and slow. Both teams can collapse though and Roach is coming in on form and Wagner looks a good find and is a wicket taker. I've got Chanderpaul to top score in the first innings and Narine top wicket taker and man of match.
|
|
By:
Both teams suspect re batting.28 wickets in 3 days in the tour match. Two batsmen with some semblance of form.Gayle the x-factor.Some very interesting bowlers.
I fancy a result. |
|
By:
warm up match, while probably on a different strip saw 17 of the 28 wickets fall to spin. Wouldn't be surprised to see something similar.
6 for Vettori and 5 to Shillingford. |
|
By:
going to take the same route as my last 3 tests that have ended in green.. wait until after the 1st session to even think of a bet..
|

draw betting, laying or backing, is about conditions not players.
HTH. |
|
By:
are we expecting gayle to open up here?
|
|
By:
I wouldn't open with him.But he may not change his style no matter what drop.

West Indies are a huge lay at this price imo

New Zealand win toss and bat
|
|
By:
NZ bat first.
i'm laying West Indies to start. Why on earth wouldn't you open with Gayle batting, he's an opening batsman? He bats brilliantly as an opening batsman. Also people seem to mistakenly think that all he knows is gun hoe big swinging action. It's not true at all, he is an excellent test batsman and even in his T20/ODI knocks he generally tries to get himself in early on, it just happens that he will clear the ropes with any rank wide ball that appears before him. |
|
By:
exactly why i'd rather have him at number 3 for the 5 day game.
|
|
By:
good swing already

I don't watch much cricket - not like you guys I'm sure, but this seems an awful standard. Am I right?

The West indies bowling attack looks toothless

Draw price some sort of joke? It's not monsoon season is it?
Looking forward to seeing Vettori again. |
|
By:
4+ on NZ is a good price imo. They have a good start to build on. I can only see them getting shorter and WI drifting.
|
|
By:
good luck with that..
