it is not going to be easy for England either. It all depends on clarke and Hussy, if Aus manage to take past 200 (which is quite possible considering Wade & Lee to follow), it is going to be one of the close match than it seems to appearing right now. So i'm going to wait till the 40th over before i jump to back/lay.

exactly right Arun.  What I've been saying constantly in this thread - some people seem to think that a low run rate up to 30 overs is important - IN ODI's it's isn't!  ENG and AUS often start slowly and ramp up.

This is all England 1.38 still , either I'm getting this totally wrong  or this is still a huge price.

Battered them last game and now they are stuck on a low run rate at look like losing wickets.

They will score max 170 and we will win with 5-10 overs to spare  - only my opinion

Scrappy - it's tough batting conditions

not sure if the conditions are as tough as the aussies are currently making it look.
slow start and early wickets meant they had to be really cautious. when clarke and watson started to go it looked fairly easy then with watson wicket they slowed right down again.

of course ENG are still favourites and the 1.35 price reflects that - remember that's a 74% chance of winning

If you disagree just back them!  That's the point of "educated" Gambling

I guess the point I am making is that I think it is still far too big. England have Australia by the throat now. Twice now Australia have tried to open up (they did for a while with Watson) and both times wickets fell.
There is no 10 wicket burst on this pitch and therefore England can only go 1 way in price.
If I had anymore more money to trade on it I'd still be backing England at 1.36

Nigel - I'm already on twice and haven't laid off a penny of yet , just trying to convince myself i playing it right.

Batting conditions should improve for England all feels like win win.

Well the biggest risk you face is a good aussie partnership - With Hussey and Clarke still in that's possible.

numerous times ball has missed the edge and went past the bat, many times hit the pad and bowlers appealed for LBW...
Most importantly, england may start with over confidence and may play few reckless shots which will put them in trouble. Low scoring matches more often or not will land in tricky situations.

Think England are slightly too long here. Very worst case scenario is that Australia add another 109 runs in the last 18 overs at 6.05 an over. Even if that happens England would be about 1.44ish to chase 200, so very little upside laying England until they bat imo

agree, I think 1.32 would be about right.  Any more movement up with little change in circumstances and I'll dip in I think.

i've backed england so it's not my pocket talking but anyone else think that if the bowler knocks the wickets at his end it should be classed as a dead ball, it must put the batsman off.
