Looks like rain will interfere again.  An absolute deluge is predicted for Friday which could make it unplayable on Saturday - depends how good the fround staff are etc.. but completed match NO at 1.73 looks extremely tempting

So does England series winner that I've just looked at though your bet probably has more value. It's unbelievably torrential here this morning though it's not supposed to rain tomorrow according to the forecast I've just seen. At present time, I can't see this being played.

i popped along this morning at 8 ish, as i have tickets for tomorrow

not raining, river high but no threat of flood (yet),

some puddles on the riverbank so it must have rained hard last night

rain forecast this afternoon stopping early saturday

i'd hope to get a game in, even if the start is delayed, as the forecast for saturday is currently good

much depends on the river level staying down and allowing the rain water to drain away today

latest update appears to be that rains have stopped and groundstaff are working hard.  Forecast looks much better so I've just been hitting the completed match = yes pretty hard.

Been raining pretty much all day, pretty incessant at times. The groundstaff are going to have to work round the clock to get this on I fear.

sounds positive to me :

http://www.durhamccc.co.uk/news/england-v-australia-latest/

There was heavy over night rain on Thursday, but little rain at the ground today
Currently, there is no standing water on the outfield, and the groundstaff are working tirelessly to ensure there will be every chance of play
The forecast for Saturday is steadily improving, and much of the recent inclement weather has been localised so it can be unpredictable
Durham County Cricket Club would advise all spectators with a match ticket to travel as normal

Looks like we have a small window of decent weather in Durham on Sat so hope to get a game on tomorrow. If it  was played today or Sun = no chance of play

don't see much risk to be honest at 1.16 - groundstaff are on the case.  Remember we only need 40 overs a piece - three/four hours play across the day

sorry 40 overs in total! doh!

I'm in Newcastle and it was Raining Very Hard for about 4 hours earlier but has now stopped.............and at this point the forecast look clear all of tommorrow.  Should be a game but the CMM is not a place for Free Money Merchants this time I don't think!

Also ENG at 1.95 look big given there will most likely be good movement in the wicket and the match is unlikely to be shortened at all

No Swanny though, undecided on patel with the ball

Nigel, 1.95 looks very big. Ideal bowling conditions for our 4 seamers. Aus batting looks slow with Forrest and Bailey. Eng will be batting in sunshine this afternoon with a faster outfield. I would say the toss was worth 30-40 runs advantage.

with you.  I decided to just put a reasonable lump @ 1.95 and wait.  Odds bound to come in.

that lump laying 'yes' at 1.05 must be someone who wants to insure their green , cos all the forecasts i seen predict no more rain up durham way to day
