I'm not saying there is a gaping chasm between the teams, but surely this is the worst Australian ODI team for years.
I read Watto's comments before the match about how Wade was a much better no 7 than Bresnan and how clearly this meant that England didn't have enough batting, presumably he hadn't spotted who the Oz no 6 was. I'm not sure Smith would even get into any England team of the 90s. |

mike hussey obviously leaves a big hole but what are they thinking batting steve smith at 6 ? he'd bat 8 at best in the england line up. never a front line batsman in a million years
