this market need to be punished so bad...

I was surprised to see Australia were favourites. Am I right in thinking this is an A-side rather than a first choice side?
By:
what do you mean.. isnt the a team the 1st team ?
By:
Depends. A-side can be some sort of selective side. I think England A is now England Lions and is generally used for those knocking on the door of the first team. I think it's the equivalent of the old football England B internationals.
However, an A-side can be a bit of a mix. I know last week during the last Windies match, they were talking about this as if it weren't the full first choice Australia team. |

something very wrong here... look at that money backing oz.. down to 1.75 again..? anyone have a view on this?
By:
I agree with you. I thought England were slightly generously priced to start with and have made a reasonably good start. Problem with England, is you never know what team is going to turn up especially in one-dayers. I don't know why they've come out in price though.
By:
yep layed then backed easy money
By:
Wow. Oz shot out nine ticks while we both posted those.
By:
I can't understand the love in this market has for aus. Eng have made a good solid start, I hope all those 1.5 backers get burnt too. I wonder if they are trying to win back there money from nadal/Germany
By:
the only reason this market hasn't budged is a misreading of conditions.
By:
can't really see how england were the dogs for this series especially as is likely it's played largely in seamer friendly conditions.
they're pretty awesome at home in all formats at the moment and half the aussie side have little or no experience in english conditions at the top level |
By:
Market is always gonna favour aus here due to the rain scheduled throughout the day. D/L will more often than not favour the side batting 2nd.
By:
im struggling to understand why england are outsiders here
a very good start considering |
By:
ah, brett lee's face providing the punchline to that splendid piece of comedy.
By:
how much longer can the market keep pumping money onto oz...
By:
****ing pathetic this.. gamble pays off again!
By:
i think the market thinks 280-300 is par
anything above 280 would be a very tough ask with england's bowling attack imo |
By:
Lee deserves that, bowled well
By:
hahaha hotspot my luck
By:
this is a pretty big gamble on the Aus team
By:
the market is 20 ticks wrong... minimum..
By:
Aussies were matched at 1.44, at what point of this game was that? Stupid odds.
By:
By:
Watson seems to look fatter every time i see him
By:
hope you have taken advantage of the prices and layed aus, average lay of 1.56 for me

Trott badly named. Should have been christened Jonathan Crawl. Awful to watch and support.
By:
88-1 from 20 solid start with the early rain breaks?
By:
oz will be 1.4 if england dont make 280
By:
shame
pretty bad wicket that |
By:
hmm, outright bet on england, but i desperately want bopara to fail.
By:
Can someone run on the pitch at tell Trott this a one day game not a test match FFS!!

By:
On England at 2.3, stick with them or switch whilst it's still worthwhile?
By:
FFS Trott bats out dot balls for the whole over then takes a single off the last to keep strike

By:
This market really doesn't fancy England.
By:
Trott knows his role
get 80 not out from here and england get 280 + |
By:
Sadly he will get 27 off 98 balls.
By:
We're still on about five an over with less than half the overs gone. Still eight wickets in hand. A good position still for England.
By:
looking at 250 for me..
By:
Well four an over. Oops.
