Today the weather was forecast for a day with no rain it rained, the next three days is forecast for 3 days of full thunderstorms.....you make of that what you will but looks like the draw to me
back the deaw then, and stop banging on about the weather. |

It's unlikely to rain solid for three days in Trinidad. More likely to get repetitive intermittent showers at worst. I'm confident Aus will still have plenty of time regardless.

if we get all the overs in that are left for today we would have lost 14 overs out of the match
however we need to lose 24 before they cannot be made up |
|
By:
clark been really clever with the use of his bowlers if he had gone with pace from the start
would probably lost 10 overs for bad light |
|
By:
think we'll get two more

overs

What do you mean lose 24 before they cannot be made up mate?
|
|
By:
3 days left jackpot they can plat maximum of 98 overs in a day (normally 90)
3 x 8 = 24 |

All green here for very little after two days of trading. But as a cricket fan WI been on the recieving end of some shocking decisions this series.
Umps have given the bennifit of the doubt on all the clsoe calls to the aussies on almost every decision while at the same time firing out the windies batters for the most marginal of calls. Probably cost the windies the 1st test and are now in all sorts of trouble in the 2nd one. Unless these two put on 100+ tomorrow can't see them getting out of this game with anything. |

If the weather conditions allowed it and the teams were so inclined, it's entirely possible, albeit unlikely, that considerably more than 98 overs could be bowled in a day without any extension to the standard hours of play. |

Just something to bear in mind regardless of the negative weather forecasts:
Typical Weather in April Trinidad and Tobago in April: Key Facts Average rainfall for the month 1.8 inches http://trinidad-guide.info/weather/rain/ |

98 overs max in a test jt45 as far as i understand it anyway

worcester sauce,
I can't find anything to support your 98 overs maximum assertion. The ICC regulations state: On days other than the last day, play shall continue on each day until the completion of a minimum target of 90 overs (or 15 overs per hour) or the completion of the scheduled or rescheduled cessation time, whichever is the later, provided that play shall not continue for more than 30 minutes beyond the scheduled or rescheduled cessation time (permitted overtime). (aa 2008) There are further regulations regarding making up lost time but I can find no reference to any maximum limit on the number of overs that can be bowled in a day for Test Matches. I would be extremely surprised if any such maximum number of overs restriction existed. |
|
By:
No maximum.
On normal days, it's a minimum of 90 overs in 6 hrs (plus 30 mins extra permitted to bowl the overs). On days when time is being made up, it's a minimum of 98 overs in 6 and a half hours (plus 30 mins extra permitted to bowl the overs). In reality, it usually works out at 90 overs (or 98). But occasionally more are bowled because of a quick over-rate - New Zealand have done this recently. |

THink the weather is going to be pretty hit or miss for rest of the test. Seems to be similar forecasts for every day so might get stoppages like yesterday again. Says a chance of thunderstorms this afternoon so if that hits, could be a long delay.
Reckon the windies will need every weather break they can get. This partnership is massive for them. if there's an early wicket today, they could get rolled for 150 easily. Hope they put up a fight. reckon they've been on the wrong end of some harsh umpiring. every 50/50 decision seems to have gone against them. |
