Australia will be well pleased with that play from their lower order. Good performance by Lyon as well and both he and Ryan Harris have topped their high scores. 2 change overs will now be deducted from the next sessions which takes a little bit more time out of the game. Wonder if WI will live to regret this stand.

That's better. Just remember when the draw is reached by end of play tomorrow I called it at 1.47...

fear of a windies collaspe suppose pttt

happened so many times and game gone against them in last 90 mins

also more straightforward goal for aussies, just need to take wickets and bowl windies out(wont be easy of course) whereas windies can go well with bat but will need to bat on well into tomorrow so own chances of winning little tougher batting 3rd against bowling 3rd

cheers SY but if windies collapse then aussie chasing 250 then windies gonna be 4 tops

SY... by collapse I am assuming you mean less than 150 runs for the WI. Anymore and the time taken out of the game will mean a result will be a struggle. They must expect to take this final wicket with some kind of lead.

yep windies been all out today for 170ish far better for backers than them batting well into tomorrow

market odds suggest they dont get knocked over for that sort of total though hence higher odds on them

pitch doesnt look like a 150 all out id be shocked if aussies couldn.t survive 60 - 65 overs tomorrow  cant see windies setting muck less than 4.5 an over

Fact that Lyon and Harris are batting just goes to show how true this track still is...Draw it is no other result possible for this match
By:

Just needs one side to be bowled out in 50-60 overs and we'll have a result. Looks unlikely..

Not impressed with the Aussie bowling attack. No real pace or quality tweaker.

Prices are right

WI 13 because for WI to win they need to be 250 ahead in next 3 sessions and then bowl aussie out in last two sessions

to be 250 ahead is a possibilty but to bowl aussie out in two sessions is a long shot, they could even lose

Aus 5 because they could reduce the lead further, bowl WI out in 3 sessions with 200 to make in two sessions

Draw 1.36 becuase cross match for 5 is 1.25 but because WI is still not totally out so 1.36 to balance the book value

now if aus keeps making runs, WI will keep lenghtening upto 18 maybe

Aus will go down to 4 but draw will hold :D to 1.33 as cross match for 4 is 1.33 i think

then WI bat if they keep making slow runs WI will come down, Aus will go up to 6 7 8 and draw may go up as cross match for 6 6 is 1.5

Very funny test match odds movement

This has got draw written all over it! Certainly can't see two innings taking place in only four sessions...

Terrible stuff from the Windies here.
By:
RememberJeremyBates
When: 10 Apr 12 18:39
WI are going to be batting to ensure there is no chance of an Aus win. Their innings will be slow and long. They might put Aus in if they have a lead of 250 or something and aim to bowl them out in a session.

But face it! A result ain't happening here...

RememberJeremyBates  why do you feel the need to keep repeating yourself ?  Are you educationally sub normal by any chance ?

Plenty of others are repeating all the nonsense about Aus bowling WI out for 150 in a session or two, etc. I'm just here for balance.

Some naive punters may get misled, otherwise...

Its psychological, a bit mischiveous, positive and saying you cant bowl us out but we can

Aussie way, good for cricket
By:

Weather decision?

Why declare when an innings lead was a real possibility? Whatever happens they need an extra 43 runs to win, so they've lost time.
By:

When: 10 Apr 12 19:09
i fail to see the dec why dont the dressing room send out a signal to have a swing if they got a 20 off 3 overs it might make the chase easier in 2nd dig
By:
Gcricket
When: 10 Apr 12 19:11
They have thrown a bait and made a statement
now WI may get starry eyed and play a bit silly althouggh they will still bat to draw
lead would make them to bat for draw only

good move

425 backers seething, the guy who laid 400 for a few hundred at 7/1 seething more so
By:

When: 10 Apr 12 19:14
It's certainly a surprise move but it means Aus will have to chase at least 200.

Bizarre move imo.
