Think he was very lucky, but congratulations to Joshua

A lot of home decisions this tournement
Report guinness2dear August 12, 2012 3:36 PM BST
Won it
Report Leemo August 12, 2012 3:36 PM BST
Disgusting in all honesty. Feel sorry for the Italian
Report cnman August 12, 2012 3:37 PM BST
very, very dodgy decision. well done to him though
Report guinness2dear August 12, 2012 3:37 PM BST
There's worse judges on ere than in the fights..
Report nif August 12, 2012 3:37 PM BST
thought the italian had done enough
Report cnman August 12, 2012 3:37 PM BST
this all feels very empty to me. bit of uncomfortable viewing
Report gresty241 August 12, 2012 3:39 PM BST
didn't think he won it myself but it's gold to GB, no more biased than if it were in Italy

guinness2dear £1.99 a pint in my local Happy
Report freeze_the_secret August 12, 2012 3:39 PM BST
If the bout had been in Cagliari the Italian would have won,so fair decision.

Ave it seethers.
Report judorick August 12, 2012 3:39 PM BST
he has had two home town decisions
Report guinness2dear August 12, 2012 3:39 PM BST
Stop talking through your anus Mullah..
Report Leemo August 12, 2012 3:40 PM BST
I aint seething as NO bet. However was a home decision. Happens in boxing both Amateur and Pro.
Report MullahOmar August 12, 2012 3:40 PM BST
What?

I love watching Joshua will be a future star and I wanted him to win.

But that was a sickening decision and brings the whole olympics into disrepute.
Report Thin and Crispy August 12, 2012 3:40 PM BST
I watch that with the sound off.....thought the Italian won that.  I don't like to see GB win Gold medals like that.
Report guinness2dear August 12, 2012 3:41 PM BST
Hey gresty do you live in a cave Laugh
Report Eeternaloptimist August 12, 2012 3:41 PM BST
Rubbish. The Italian was spent in the last and the only one throwing punches was Joshua. No way he was 3 down after the second either.
Report judorick August 12, 2012 3:42 PM BST
been loads of wrong decisions this tournament I'm sorry to say
Report guinness2dear August 12, 2012 3:42 PM BST
Common sense at last Mr EE
Report guinness2dear August 12, 2012 3:43 PM BST
There has Rick, that just wasn't one of them..
Report ArmchairIdiot August 12, 2012 3:43 PM BST
I didnt think Josh had it there. I dont buy the "if it was in italy..." argument either. Where are the judges from? We can't be accused of being dodgy if they're not all british.
Report betlarge August 12, 2012 3:44 PM BST
But that was a sickening decision and brings the whole olympics into disrepute.

Tiny exaggeration I would have thought.

Thought Cammarelle was never 2pts better than Joshua in Rd2, thought Joshua was never 3pts better than Cammarelle in Rd3.

Most of all 18-18???  Missed half of the supposed 36 scoring shots at least!
Report judorick August 12, 2012 3:45 PM BST
for me joshua landed some good solid shots when upped the tempo towards the end, but he had been out boxed for most of the fight

I'm glad he got the medal but think it should have gone to the eyetie
Report ArmchairIdiot August 12, 2012 3:46 PM BST
Inept? Yes. Dodgy? No. Evens itself out in the long run, doesn't it, they say?
Report freeze_the_secret August 12, 2012 3:46 PM BST
About time we had a decision go for us.
Don't remember you lot up in arms when our rowers were put in the wrong lane.
Report guinness2dear August 12, 2012 3:47 PM BST
Look Mullah. it was scored 18 a piece, very close, which it was, but to say the judges were the only people in the world to think the Brit won it is rather silly, don't you think ?

And it looks like they have removed your post as well...
Report freeze_the_secret August 12, 2012 3:50 PM BST
But that was a sickening decision and brings the whole olympics into disrepute.

No hyperbole there,muchTongue Out
Report ArmchairIdiot August 12, 2012 3:51 PM BST

Report ArmchairIdiot August 12, 2012 3:52 PM BST
the three wise men....
Report guinness2dear August 12, 2012 3:52 PM BST
Good luck to them with that. Tony will get it by 2 on the recount..
Report judorick August 12, 2012 3:52 PM BST
feck me! about time we had a decision go for US?

sheesh both Agogo and Joshua had extremely dodgy decisions in their favour

Joshua extremely lucky to get a medal imo, I had the cuban a clear winner against him

and agogo never beat that ukraine boxer
Report gresty241 August 12, 2012 3:52 PM BST
all the caves are on the posh estate across the road guinness Grin
Report casemoney August 12, 2012 3:53 PM BST
The scoring of the 2nd round needs to be looked at, how the italian was given that by 2 points is unbelievable ,I would say the italian 1 ahead going 3rd,and has been completley outboxed in the last ,he can appeal as much as he likes ,he didnt win
Report ArmchairIdiot August 12, 2012 3:54 PM BST
Dont ask Lennox any questions regarding the scoring system ffs...
Report guinness2dear August 12, 2012 3:54 PM BST
Rick you can't hold previous decisions against him. He won this fight, IMHO..
Report freeze_the_secret August 12, 2012 3:55 PM BST

Don't fret Irish, you can go back to busily jacking yerself off over a picture of Michelle Smith, still the most decorated Irish Olympian ever.

Meantime I shall be busily researching obscure Italian townsSilly
Report Eeternaloptimist August 12, 2012 4:11 PM BST
I don't suppose we will see any retractions of some of the nonsense posts seen her. Incidentally people who know the game like Khan and Lewis both had Joshua winning comfortably.
Report guinness2dear August 12, 2012 4:12 PM BST
Hope they lose their deposit...........
Report judorick August 12, 2012 4:15 PM BST
yes coz khan and lewis are entirely neutral

khan said he thought agogo beat the ukrainian - says it all
Report red and white August 12, 2012 4:19 PM BST
GB upgrade for Joshua there. Another Audley Harrison on the way to the pro ranks.
Report judorick August 12, 2012 4:22 PM BST
don't see why people should retract their opinions
Report Eeternaloptimist August 12, 2012 6:56 PM BST
That is their prerogative but comments such as disgusting, sickening and bringing the games into disrepute are hyperbolic nonsense. It was a close fight. Nobody could have argued that Joshua had been robbed if he'd lost and I feel similar sentiments apply to the Italian who appeared to think he had been invited to appear on Come Dancing in the last round.

If anybody has reason to feel aggrieved it was the Cuban who I thought won the fight against Joshua.
