massive lay.....
|
By:
Really ?? A bit touch and go for me so will probably leave it to be honest, need 16 more medals than beijing. Shouldnt be too much to ask.
|
By:
61 more medals to go.
|
By:
bejing got most of medals cycling----but rest of world will catch up
|
By:
Team GB Gymnastics stunning performance leaves 60 more medals needed.
|
By:
Team equestrian leaves us needing 59 more, with a possible individual eventing medal to come later.
|
By:
Unfortunately, so far the games has led to a few too many near misses. Could have easily had 4 or 5 more medals imo. Still 59 needed.
|
By:
I'm on overs too, but my finger is hovering over the lay button! Been a bit disappointing so far, but should pick up quite a few medals in the cycling, boxing and rowing so I'll see how it goes after that.
|
By:
Im half considering it ill be honest, but with these type of markets there is often a huge overreaction, our strongest events are still to come so will assess after those have been decided.
|
By:
just put up a lay of £200 @ 1.39 if anyone wants it, hoping for a few medals 2day
|
By:
Infostrada estimated 64 before the Games started but there have been at least 3 medals missed so this is now very tight - could still go either way depending on results in cycling in particular (rest of the world definitely made huge strides in track cycling) and athletics
63 is looking a long way away and I too am looking to lay |
By:
Team GB rowing add two to our tally, 57 needed. Does the march to 63 start today?
|
By:
i've layed unders,so happy with the 2 medals so far today
|
By:
We will do well to get over 50 from here
|
By:
Great performance from wiggins and froome adds two to the tally, 55 needed.
|
By:
Turning into a pretty good day for Team GB medal count, Michael Jamieson narrowly missing out on gold leaves 54 needed.
|
By:
Still a bit worried, hoping that the next few days can bump the tally up even more. How many medals do you think will need to be in the bank before the track and field starts, to achieve the overs?
|
By:
get laying, its gonna be unders
|

I think you will find that it is virtually impossible to get 63 medals. Have you looked at the events that team GB have realistically got a chance to score in , from tomorrow to the end of the games? Need 5 medals per day from here on in - sorry to say it is not going to happen. |
By:
If Anthony Joshua can get over a tricky 1st round V the Cuban he will medal easy. Rekon you should get 5-6 Medals from the Men's and Women's Boxing GB sqaud
|
By:
selling 59.5 total medals on Sporting-Index must be good then?

selling 59.5 total medals on Sporting-Index must be good then?
I think it is an excellent sell.Sporting Index always pitch their quote on the high side - since they assume that human nature tends to want to buy/back an event. |
By:
6 at least look on the cards from rowing and both football teams and the womens hockey all look set for the semi finals
|
By:
I think that ICANTSTANDTHISFORUM is probably gonna be right, 5 medals a day is a big ask. Think I'll wait til the cycling/swimming/rowing is over and hopefully pick up quite a few medals and then consider laying off.
|
By:
STEVO1878,best of luck with laying your bet off.
|
By:
We need five a day then. Think we're struggling in the sailing, certainly in terms of golds, perhaps well get medals of other colours
|
By:
i'd certainly be more confident of picking up 20 golds than 60 odd total medals. plenty of solid gold chances to come but to get over 60 we need a lot of the half chances to come in
|
By:
Good chance we don't get any golds I. The sailing, unlike four last time. Need the boxers to live up to expectations for sure. Defo ain't gonna get eight golds in the cycling either.
|
By:
Don't know what the price is for over 63.5 medals, but that's a huge amount. Way beyond our ability if you ask me. Way beyond. I'd price this at a very high price.
|
By:
14 golds from rowing, sailing and cycling last time. might only be 9 or 10 this time. will need the difference to be made up from the likes of triathlon, gymnastics and athletics where we look good for 5 or 6 as opposed to 1 in beijing
|
By:
Triathlon. Jonny and Ali are as good as shoe-ins. They'll bring each other through.
|
By:
Spread on triathlon golds about the 1.25 mark.
|
By:
I was hoping for some surprise golds amongst the swimming women, fencing, archery, shooting, taekwondo, judo and canoeing, but looks like none. Still time in the canoeing mind. And adlington and Kerry Anne Payne in the 10k swim. Oh and no golds in equestrian either. Modern pentathlon a chance?
|
By:
A few more good things go down and we may be in trouble though re the twenty golds mark.
|
By:
I have backed a whole bunch of unders right across the boards, mainly on total golds and total medals
just thought we would struggle |
By:
Rob dylon u must work very hard to get golds. They dnt grow on trees.
However I dnt see y on earth people r saying gb r not doing well. For gods sake the end of the olympics will be the highlight unlike in china where the middle part was strong for team gb. Boxing and athletics alone could bring in 5 golds |
By:
leaving out the sailing solid gold chances left - athletics 3, rowing 4, cycling 4-5, swimming 2, triathlon 2, gymnastics 2, boxing 2 (can't say i'm all clued up but we have 5 or 6 who are either favourite of 2nd favourite)
doesn't leave much margin for error that. could do with vicky pendleton taking at least 1 gold off anna meares, pinching another from elsewhere like football or womens hockey and one of our live outsiders in the atletics producing the goods too. should be close. would be confident of 17 but finding those 2 or 3 extra will be tough |
By:
Carlos, we are doing well. But we did superbly in Beijing to get 47 medals. 62 would be immense.
|
By:
and there is a good chance of a few bankers blowing out too though especially in track cycling, swimming, athletics, sailing...
always likely someone has a nightmare ( |
