I wonder if animals believe in religion, do they think that once they've popped their clogs they'll all rise up to a heaven, and do all species have seperate heavens. Somehow rather doubt it, think we are the only species that wastes a huge portion of our lives thinking about "is there anything after this life?"

What I'd like to know is why in biblical times God didn't seem to mind killing this guy or that guy for fairly trivial things, but more recently he'll let countless evil people slaughter and torture huge numbers of other people in horrible ways in his name and do nothing.

I'd be a bit miffed and be inclined to do something about it.

This makes no sense, considering more than half the world's population are born into religious families/teachings, indoctrination, I suppose a more cynical word, or maybe a more apt word depending upon your view, would be brainwashing. Vast majority of people born into religion never convert to another religion, another God, or become atheists.

The idea that because the majority of people believe in a God means there must be a God and Atheists are crazy is a very illogical viewpoint given the above, i.e more than half the world Do Not Find Religion anyway, it's delivered to them before they've had a chance to learn to walk and talk.

no it doesn't that's just an illogical answer, something either exists or it doesn't exist, until proven one way or another, nobody knows. Something doesn't exist because you want it to exist.
