For those who are getting paid because of this scheme its far from painful inside trader.
|
|
By:
We will have to pay for it and it (combined with ott regulations) means its going to take years to build up population immunity.
Cannot see people who are out there driving vans and stuff being too happy paying taxes to pay for millions to get £2.5k a month for doing nothing. |

I am starting to believe these morons do not know what to do about Brexit and have just shoved their heads up their proverbials.
Wtf is an airline supposed to do. Dreary O'Leary was about to say 40% of flights will resume in July and while on air Spain announced a 14 day quarantine period on entering their country! I don't like Dreary, I don't like Branston and I don't like Wee Willy Walsh but what an earth are they supposed to do? |

Some Conservative thinkers have even suggested privately, as is the case in Germany, that a scheme such as this, could be made semi-permanent.
The Kurzarbeit system, which is a century-old is credited with saving a million jobs a decade ago, and is paid at 60% of wages, but is untaxed and applies to hours lost rather than requiring a worker to stop employment. Such a scheme would basically be an expensive form of employment insurance, operating through the private sector rather than the Department for Work and Pensions. This is not in the Treasury's plans, as they seek to reaffirm the support is temporary. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-52634759 |

I like bashing the Tories as much as the next man but we have got serious problems here. Gloating is not going to help. They really do not know what they are doing. Without public transport the country cannot get back to work. Schools need to open. We need leadership. Where is our Churchill?
