Had the C Bomb by Arbor from a well known subscription service. I thought it was great, and it comes in a one pint can.

That looks an Irish price for the Nukey Brown!
The Cranborne Poacher 5.7% isn't bad tack imo. |

Bought a 16 can pack from the Brinkburn Brewery in Byker. Interesting mixture of flavoured and non flavoured beer-some must be an acquired taste like the Stay Puft Marshmallow Porter but can recommend the Byker Brown Ale. Until recently never used to drink cans as a hangover from the 80s when McEwans Export had a funny metallic aftertaste but the canning technology has moved on. That said can't wait for a proper draught pint.

Thanks Dotchinite, we agree
, i don't disagree with a lot of your posts as it happens and you listen to other people. That Blanford Fly not for me, Bishops Finger ok. I know a beer thread, but Waitrose blended scotch v good, highland black aldi also cracking scotch pricewise. |

Wye Valley is another good brewery in my opinion especially the Butty Bach and the HPA which must be the easiest beer to drink.

Not a big whisky drinker lapsy but i do have either a bottle of Glenmorangie or Oban at xmas. Used to drink the Laphroaig as well which people seem to either love or hate.

foxy they certainly used to have the concession at Sandown (in the main stand nearish to the main entrance) where from memory they sold TEA and Hop Garden Gold.Trick to avoid the queue was to get there straight after the winner passed the post although to be fair they were very efficient in serving customers. Not sure why they stopped selling there ; I know the people who replaced them and sold Punter were treated badly by Sandown and were eventually relegated to the back of the Sports bar . They too gave up soon afterwards.

Another vote for Arbor beer. Pricey, so a bit of a treat.
Wiper and True always a challenge...nice teste but always seem yeasty... M & S are doing 3 for a fiver. Got Beavertown Lupulloid and a Magic Rock, Had a phase of Golden Glory and another Badger I can't remember years ago. Northern Monk are great too...haven't tried that hazy one, but Eternal is a fav. Best ever from a supermarket was from Morrisons....Kirkstall Brewery....Dissolution IPA...unfortunately was only available for short while.. Wye Valley defo a good beery session beer Cauthen, you are allowed to tell us the name of the subscription service!...used Beer52 for a couple of years before getting a bit tired with it.. |

Posy, I like the Hogs Back cider 'Hazy Hog' Lovely on a hot summer day! Have you done a tour of the brewery? They certainly CAN organise a p*ss up in a brewery ![]() |
|
By:
No paulypaul never done the tour although have only heard good reports of it .These days I just imbibe for pleasure and positively avoid drinking to excess and ending up with a hangover so think tour would be wasted on me.
I'm not really a cider drinker but will give it a try on a hot summer's day ;the draught TEA which i'm picking up at the moment is in superb condition and much better than that generally sold in pubs which leads me to think that too many landlords don't know how best to keep their beer. |
