The previous administrations were crap at brexit, I'll give you that but we've got the right team on it now. We won't know who has handled the crisis for years, but crippling a little economy like Ireland a bit earlier is not really comparable to a G7 member's actions.

Thing with Ireland though they were prepared to cripple their economy but putting its citizens first and foremost, end result will be everyones economy is crippled but to put your hand on your heart and able to say you done your best for your citizens is a different matter.

Short term gain for long term pain? As I've repeatedly posted, the overall detriment of the virus is much further reaching than simply counting the number deaths directly attributable to covid 19. It's not hard to comprehend, or at least it shouldn't be.

Ireland went into this with a cash surplus.

Not many can say that...

Bojo has followed the scientific advice throughout. If it all proves a horlicks, blame the "experts".

I understand you Cider, long term gain for short term pain?  Twice the death rate of next in Europe, economy shut down longer than those who acted quicker, that plan unfortunately seems to be working, i don't know where the gain you expect will come because it won't.

Around half a million people die in the UK every year on average. Many of those being killed by covid 19 would have been in that 500K this year anyway, around 60% of them. Recessions kill more people early, indirectly. We won't know the full toll, or who handled it best overall for several years.

Why silly, he was proudly telling the nation that he chased COVID-19 patients around a hospital to shake their hands just over a month ago.
It was a good idea then, he may think that it is a good idea now.

But he did it, didn't he.
Was that a display of great leadership ?

He did, and no doubt regrets it now. Just as Jeremy Corbyn  our would be great leader, probably regrets shaggin Dianne Abbott. Love

Do you think that he will publicly state that he regrets running round a hospital shaking the hands of infected COVID-19 patients ?

Admitting that you were wrong, admitting that you have made mistakes, now that's leadership.

It's tremendous you can remotely detect exactly how someone caught the virus, most definitely a spot for you in the 18K contact tracing team.

I have made no claim as to where Johnson became infected.
I have, however, pointed out his some of his behaviours.

So you know for sure he was not wearing the appropriate PPE on his visit to meet victims of the virus in hospital?

Again, I have made no claims as to what he was wearing.
I have pointed out what we himself wished to tell the nation, that he proudly shook hands with infected COVID-19 patients in a hospital.

Were you pleased Cider ?

You're claiming that it was a mistake and wrong. If he was wearing PPE, I'm claiming it wasn't. Since neither us knows, you're just guessing.

A leader visiting victims of a virus and not treating them as lepers, yeah I'm fine with that. But, it's wholly irrelevant now.

Ya won't have Leo telling de country shure i was out ther shaking the hands of the coronavirus victims, everyone could have been out looking to shake hands with them with that kinda carry on.

Cider you are saying you don't know whether he was wearing PPE but you're defending him for shaking peoples' hands. Where is your logic coming from?
By:

So irrelevant that you've spent 20 minutes posting on a forum about it ?
