Massive drop

Let's hope it keeps going in that direction.
However, no let up in the number of new cases, a further 5,850 reported today, averaged 5,057 for the previous eight days. |

I know still 19 days until this current "lockdown " finishes but feeling fairly negative regarding the government relaxing restrictions much on 7th May.
Was hopeful will be able to see the Ascot King George at the end of July, not so sure now. These death & new infections numbers will need to be a lot lower. |

Day 31 for the UK after reaching 100 deaths, total now 15,464.
For Italy, they were on 15,362 at the same stage. |

Sunday figures, let's wait on.

Why is there a "downward trend" in hospital numbers in London compared to rest of UK. Yet it is London where people are using public transport, exercising on busy pavement/ parks & live in high density housing.
I'm "only" 20KM from M25 , everybody seems to be observing social distancing. I go out for an hour or so running or walking most evenings- might see 10-20 people while out & easy to stay 5m apart. Get tge idea that in London would see 20 people inside 5 minutes. |
|
By:
STILL BE MOST CASES,JUST COMING DOWN FROM A HIGH pOINT,
go up again when restrictions lifted |
|
By:
Numbers will probably be quite low tomorrow..its Tuesday Wednesday when numbers are more reliable.

Hadn't updated the correct tab in my spreadsheet
![]() Day 32 for the UK after reaching 100 deaths, total now 16,060. For Italy, they were on 15,887 at the same stage. |

Hospital Admissions down quite a bit ,NHS looking like will be well able to cope
I believe there approx 1800 Suspected and confirmed in hospital ..... Which seems a very low figure ? Or did I hear wrong ? |
|
By:
There are just below 4k in London hospitals alone from the chart that they show,
|
|
By:
If you look at the daily figures they seem to peak for Thursday and Friday and then drop off Saturday and Sunday.
|
|
By:
Has been happening consistently, the required admin process clearly slowing down over the weekend.
Testing figures appear to continue uninterrupted. |

I've noticed them now calling it "pandemic influenza"
![]() I suppose they can't hide it now so are just calling it what it is ![]() There hasn't been a death day over 800 yet either, the lag that is, all deaths seem to be in the 600-700 range once all deaths are added for a particular date Which begs the question, why are they holding back deaths on the day? |
|
By:
Goose will always spout utter b0llocks in regards to this so best to ignore the prat
|

Once again I will bring to the Attention of people going on about Death rates
Bar Germany in Europe ,Parts of the UK are doing as well if not better than other countries Scotland N Eire The North east very low if you take Yorkshire out of the picture As stated overpopulated towns where the Virus spread like Wildfire have been the Problem Ireland now Approaching 600 Deaths , The Vast majority in County Dublin Again a densely populated area ...Infact 80 % of cases in or around Dublin ... France with A similar Population to the UK have slightly higher rates People stating 40,000 deaths here will hopefully be a long Way off |
|
By:
Its mainly killing over 70s ffs
It really is an influenza, people might finally see through it in a few years once they've got what they wanted from it, and the truth starts coming out But it'll be to late by then |
|
By:
I'm all for this carrying on to be honest, keep the lock down going I'm actually enjoying the stress free life
But the numbers don't add up to warranting all of this No matte how you look at it, Sweden haven't locked down and barely get a mention in the media... suspicious |

The ONS figures for week ending April 10 (week 15) may give us a better guide which way this is going.
Last weeks figures for week 14 (16,387 deaths) were the highest recorded since Jan 2000. |
|
By:
It was the highest weekly figure ever recorded by the ONS by some margin.

Read post peak period, possible new wave and post pandemic period Post pandemic period with levels of influenza have returned to the levels seen for seasonal influenza They can't own up to it any more than that ffs |
|

Goose go away you absolute clown
|
|
By:
Next weekly figures are scheduled for release on Tuesday.
|
|
By:
Angoose, if you check the ONS site they have amended it...
from “The 16,387 deaths that were registered in England and Wales during the week ending 3 April is the highest weekly total since we started compiling weekly deaths data in 2005.” to “The 16,387 deaths that were registered in England and Wales during the week ending 3 April is the highest weekly total since Week 2 (early January) 2000.” I think there were approx 18K deaths week 2 Jan 2000. |

By:
I am optimistic ,Felt sure we would have hit a thousand hospital deaths by now , To only have 1800
Covid in hospital is exceptionally low |
|
By:

|
By:

You'd have to have an awful lot of people in on the conspiracy to fudge numbers of patients in hospital beds, a key metric that hospital staff monitor on a daily basis.
