A truly heart warming story, and I wouldn't be surprised that with further exposure, or even without, it could hit £10 million!

The big concern is, as to who gets control of it, and how sensibly it will be spent!

yep ..i don't get the NHS fundraisung at all  ...or the volunteer workers for that matter ...if youre gonna raise a milion give it to a proper charity ...NHS is a commercial business not a 'family' ...you might as well write a cheque out to Richard Branston

tbf 8,000,000 is a drop in the ocean of the total budget of 139,000,000,000
A good chunk of that 139 billion is frittered away on overpaying for absolutely everything & a bloated mgmt, admin system

Although the cynic in me is wondering just how much the family themselves contributed?

wonder what happens to that actual cash?
does it just go into the NHS pot, or to a local hospital ?

Does the NHS really need any money?
They are fully funded by the taxpayer
Surely there are better causes out there

You can thank Labour for the austerity, they ran the economy into the ground......again for the umpteenth time
