Since Sunday evening, the prime minister has been under the care of doctors at St Thomas’ Hospital, in London, after being admitted with persistent symptoms of coronavirus.

Over the course of this afternoon, the condition of the prime minister has worsened and, on the advice of his medical team, he has been moved to the intensive care unit at the hospital.

The PM has asked Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab, who is the First Secretary of State, to deputise for him where necessary.

The PM is receiving excellent care, and thanks all NHS staff for their hard work and dedication.

I hope he recovers well, totally, and China have a lot to answer for

but don't go around bragging, breaking the rules of advice given, by shaking hands with everyone and putting OTHER LIVES AT RISK

They won’t take any chances. So hopefully this is a precaution based on who he is.

Sad to hear the media linking this to #stay at home. The 2 are separate. Boris was mixing indoors with A LOT of people including in hospitals.

People DO get it. That’s why everything’s shutdown,

Sadly Boris was not keeping safe distance. Perhaps in his job hard to do so. He would have caught this indoors from outside his family.
