forget the hard sell he,s a 40 yr true story of investing in uk,s big 5/6 high street names
endowment mortgage enough pay of loan with a nice little earner left over for a new car,exotic holiday etc, truth warning letter aftyer 14 years saying there wont be enough to pay off your mortage let alone a new car,we advise you to go on to a repayment mortgage
15 year savings plan to mature when the son was at uni time promised
bad spell 14 grand
average spell 218 grand
good spell 24 grand
after 15 years I,d put just over 10 grand in and got Justyn over 11 out
pensions we don't want to go there really but roughly but 100 grand of own money in,currently be lucky to get it back the way things are going
I don't tell lies,thats the truth picking some fund on paper in hindsight proclaiming ahuge profits its plainly ridiculous,there,ll be millions of people getting pension statements shortly only just joined last few years and will be leaving in droves never mind upping the contributions to 4/5%
was talking to neighbour the other day he,s recently retired living on drawdown his pots .lost 93,000 squid,his advispor ssaid don't worry it will  be alright LaughLaugh, he didnt go into details but he must be one of the 10,s of thousands paid to leave DB schemes

just one thing to people that might lose their work etc, a lot of the dhss staff will tell you to claim universal credit, but not tell you that if you have been working and paying tax, nat ins for last 2 years you can also claim  new style jsa and if sick new style esa , again not 100%, but you might not  qualify for univ credit , but i think you can have new style jsa it not means tested, you can have that 6 months or 1 year.
