Boris was acting on the perceived wisdom at the time.
Tahir Ali, knows what the current perceived wisdom is and flouted it.
Hopefully he is vilified as he should be.
Certainly pay a fine and all his friends can do too

I do not believe enthusiastically shaking hands at a hospital that was already treating corona patients, and continuing to do shake hands with others, was the perceived wisdom at the time (early march). Nice try though.

No he wasn’t

The podiums were about one meter apart. Still the people at the podiums do not wear gloves although the podiums have been moved. Do the people who move the podiums wear gloves?

The Journalists were sitting next to each other!

...yet puzzlingly none of them were arrested by West Midlands Police officers called to the scene by rightly-concerned cemetery staff.

and neither were The Prime Minister, The Health Secretary or The Chief Medical Officer

'I do not believe enthusiastically shaking hands at a hospital that was already treating corona patients, and continuing to do shake hands with others, was the perceived wisdom at the time (early march). Nice try though.'

So you think his advisors just stood idly by and let Boris (the leader of this country) do a potentially lethal act upon his own person?

Anyway, this thread is about a bloke called Tahir Ali ( I believe you referred to him as a no-name earlier, so disrespectful imo). Turning it into an anti Boris thread is just how you try to divert the discussion.

Nice try though............. ? Not really

Well, Angela Merkel officially announced on February 28 ( that shaking hands was uncool (though then a few days later on either March 1 or 2, she almost accidentally shook the hand of Horst Seehofer, but the ever smart Bavarian declined it)

The BBC asked on March 3: "Coronavirus: The 'Wuhan shake' or the elbow bump?" as alternatives to shaking hands.

So...yeah...shaking hands was already deemed uncool in early march when Boris bragged about it.

'So what's wrong with it being deadly? Why is it bad if earth is heavily depopulated?'

you should be praising Boris and his hand-shaking (and no-name Tahir Ali) if you think this ^^ even needs to be asked!

Scary what some here could come up with. Thank goodness none are in position of power to enact their fantasy ideology. Maybe they do live in a different world, and country.

Quite a few politicians there that you have had a go at, regarding hand shaking etc.

So why do you feel the need to defend Mr Ali for attending a 100 strong gathering at a funeral?

Why does Mr Ali get a free pass?

Is there something different or even special about Me Ali?

I'm not giving him a free pass. I'm merely stating it isn't necessarily worse than others.

This is a curious post anyway. I could turn it around actually. Why are some people seemingly more inclined to give others more of a pass than this fella?

Not at all. I'm curious
Why of all the forums you could use did you decide to post such an enormous amount of stuff on a gambling site
when  you don't bet?
It's an odd thing to do.

Oh, I am sure you are merely curious. Just like you were coincidentally merely curious when you started the thread about the post count (coincidentally shortly after I had hurt your very, very delicate, precious feelings). Just like you coincidentally were merely curious by bringing up posts from another thread without the necessary context.

Either way: Maybe it's odd, sure, but in my very humble opinion not any more odd than a (potentially old user under a new name) being terribly obsessive about random oddballs on a gambling forum.

I dislike the 'defenders' at the best of times, but when they come from another country with their blind criticism  it is just too much when their own country leads the 4th reich and its vichy poodle in the invasion of the east

There are several others who are from the outside on here continually carping - why not deal with their own countries rather than poke their noses in here.

Lol, i referred to you being precious the other day. I must have hit a nerve.
Paranoia is setting in for you edy. Life is full of hardships and talking to a man/woman like you doesn't affect me as mush as you like to think sweetheart [
