so to sort out this problem you need to bandage the shoe less foot and use a pair of crutches,and then hobble down the road.
When you meet someone who asks you what happened to your foot,you tell them that you broke a bone in it,then explain how difficult it is to get the other shoe over the bandage.if the someone is a average guy he will suggest that he has a spare pair of shoes in his house that might fit over the bandage that he will give you,and you will arrive home with 3 shoes.
its the same as putting you shoe on a 2/1 winner.

i have worked out what governments are doing,they are stalling for time and after six months lockup for everyone they will supply us all with a protective suit,they can't get their hands on suits for everyone at the moment even though they said they were prepared for every eventuality and now they will plan to be the knight in shining armor government in six months time and present us all with a free protective suit.

There was a Coronavirus expert on the telly this morning and he said that the virus can live for 3 days on plastic,yet the government give the front line health nurses plastic aprons

and plastic gloves,and plastic hats.

its no wonder why the highest percentage of people who die of the virus ,die in the hospital.
