These type of virus are becoming more and more common, we have had sars, mer, birdflu in the last 20 years, its seems this is something that will reoccur even more often in the future.

This infection is coming one way or the other. They key is to delay widespread infections as long as possible so as not to overwhelm the NHS (This is whats occurring in Italy and Italy has not yet reached anywhere near the peak)

You know its serious when Hancock is basically on TV begging for Ventilators from any source

Old people die all the time,read your local obituaries and it is usually those of us over 70 with rare examples otherwise. All this is a new cause , usual rules apply in life keep clean and avoid daft risks while young people shrug it off and build up immunity.

Since swine flu (2009) the worlds population has grown by approx 1 billion.
Now I'm no scientist but these nasty viruses have a history of occurring in over populated areas.

Nature's way of dealing with it....and I expect it will become a more common trend going forward as the pop continues to grow.
