What do you have with it. Mashed potato and baked beans for me. Seems like there are some regional variations.

nice poached in milk , with mash and even a poached egg

a cheesy sauce to smother it all is my fav

Season with herbs and wrap in foil.

Bake for twenty minutes at 200 degrees.

Remove from oven and take off the foil.

Place on a plate with  boiled potatoes, garden peas, and cover with parley sauce.

Then throw the lot in the bin - I'm vegetarian.

My mother (SE London, Walworth Road) used to call smoked haddock "fish you put butter on". Which answers your question.

Kedgeree is a brilliant choice for smoked haddock, as is Parsley Sauce which goes beautifully when served with little boiled potatoes (new Jersey Royals are available but £8 a kilo hereabouts, so just get some little Cornish or East Anglian ones).
