You would think intelligent people we have on this forum would simply swallow all this powerful group's outpourings and see it for what it is - misuse of platforms by people who seek to make money from it and see it is just propaganda  - swallowed whole with no questions.

It is quite frightening to think this warmist conspiracy is being accepted and fed to our children with not one critique of it.  If you do you can be slung out of class haha

could you imagine a teacher in full warmist class rant rattling on about the latest 2050 east anglia flooding and a child (in the know) standing up and saying - it happened in 1953 Miss,  was that global warming too???

Not bad dosh is it

According to a recent report by the U.S. Government Accountability Office, “Federal funding for climate change research, technology, international assistance, and adaptation has increased from $2.4 billion in 1993 to $11.6 billion in 2014, with an additional $26.1 billion for climate change programs and activities provided by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act in 2009.”

Not my figureds

How big is the Climate Change Industrial Complex today? Surprisingly, no one seems to be keeping track of all the channels of funding. A few years ago Forbes magazine went through the federal budget and estimated about $150 billion in spending on climate change and green energy subsidies during President Obama’s first term.

Moisok

What are you on about.

Global warming Theory doesn't say that there weren't any storms/flooding in 1953.
It just says the planet is warming- this will result in higher sea level and more frequent storms.

Moisok you witter on constantly about global warming (well anything but global warming) yet you don't seem to understand the basic points of the theory. A 10 year old has more knowledge of the subject that you do.

a lot of people who claim to know anything about this seem to be unable to answer the question - the reason why is they have too much investment in the idea - I mean - if it was found out to be a pack of lies  who would dare admit it or allow this to be leaked - one would not rid oneself of one's job would one?

dont confuse these palms with the palms you see on every street corner in some resorts (cordyline)   they grow everywhere ,even scotland and since the 1800s

I've got palms in my garden.

They've always grown them on the south coast of England as far as I know.

Current co2 is about 420, plenty of room for manoeuvre on the upside.
Any other issues will be solved by humans and technology

There's little danger to humans of too much CO2 in the air they breathe. Even the Environmental Protection Agency says 1,000 ppm is the safe limit for human exposure.

Nothing grows at 150 so we definitely don't want to go there.

Going forward (next few hundred years) I would be much more worried about AI and robots.

The year we went to war with Germany was a hot summer according to the World at War series.
The following year we had the Battle of Britain and another scorcher.
While 1947 was one of the worst UK winters on record.

If we had extremes like that these days, David Attenborough and the rest of the climate change brigade would be having fits.

PRINCE CHARLES has been fiercely criticised after he flew in a helicopter to make a speech about reducing carbon emissions. The journey is estimated to have cost £12,000.

125 mile journey Crazy

Prince Charles?

Cut the old man a bit of slack, he looks like death warmed up these days.

I hope he had a good time getting to look like he does now. He looks older than his dad, and he's like something that's just come out of the ground in a zombie film.

Bezos to spend $10 billion fighting Climate Change.
More confirmation its a hoax, if he wants it then its bad for humanity.

WOW! A lotta comments.

Since we know it's happening, and we have no desire to do anything about it, lemmings jumping off cliffs/heads buried in sand spring to mind. I'm just so glad that I'm an old man. I might be lucky, or maybe UN-lucky, enough to expire before this dirty cesspool that we've created collapses . That's  really all I have to say on the subject.
