How is this woman allowed to keep spouting such hateful truths ? I'm sure there are laws in place to silence honest intelligent people like her .

Former GMP Detective and Whistleblower Maggie Oliver on the continued debacle, “Things have not changed”

www.youtube.com/watch?v=zQpMLrvbr_A

“GMP have spent a full year battling to prevent this being published … Rochdale social services are refusing to hand over any information in relation to that case, the cover up and the secrecy continues.”

Greater Manchester Police Chief Constable Ian Hopkins has apologised to the children abused "in plain sight" by the grooming gangs his officers failed to bring to justice.

He spoke after a damning report revealed senior Greater Manchester Police (GMP) officers and senior officials at Manchester City Council, looking after many of the victims in care, were aware but did nothing to act.

A police drive called Operation Augusta to tackle street grooming by gangs of Asian males preying on vulnerable teenage girls in Manchester was launched then abruptly closed down by senior officers in 2004.

His officers are now trying to track down paedophiles 15 years after their victims first told of the abuse.

Former Greater Manchester Police detective and Rochdale whistle-blower Maggie Oliver talks to Julia Hartley-Brewer.

There is a Lady in The House of Lords  because her child was the victim of a race crime. I wish her no ill will, but Maggie lost her career and will probably get nowt, because race relations came before child rape.

Great Interview. If I am not mistaken, the word Muslim was only mentioned once, that too by the interviewer trying to take the conversation to the fact that almost all are pakistanis. This woman was a part of police and it took her 15 years to get the force to at least accept they did something wrong. That is how hard it gets when the police is a part of the con. Get the scum in uniform and the gangs won't have the support to operate.

There was a rape 3 days ago of a 16 year old and the area was cordoned off that evening by the police. The same police that has been backing the rapists for 3 decades. And people think they'll catch the guy when the very reason they're there is to ensure he isn't caught!

Sorry doridoru but the turn a blind eye began with Blair, these crimes were happening on his watch and there had even been channel 4 documentary called Despatches that reported on this behaviour but was sidelined instead of following it up.

We cannot disrespect the largest minority ethnic group of foreigners of Pakistani heritage in The UK even though this heinous sexual crimes was against vulnerable young white girls - it's only been happening over a period of 3 decades! What is this country coming to if crimes of this nature could be swept under the carpet for over 3 decades for fear of creating racial tensions?

I think cultural differences and diversity have been taken to another level not acceptable in the western world certainly not in The UK regardless - racial tensions or not. I hope those responsible (including those in authorities) will be brought to justice in due course - later better than never.

I also hope the victims and their families compensated accordingly.
