Australia used to have a cool northern meditteranean climate ...now it's the same as the middle east ...all in 20 short years .
it will be too hot to live there soon |

why on earth did so many arsons start fires at the same times, its bizarre, was it co-ordinated

if my old relatives over there weren't so long in the tooth they would be heading back ...they said the heat now is UNPLEASANT

Charlie - so we can also surmise Met Office figures from 1884 may also be wrong.
In which case the Uk may not be warming at all. |
|
By:
87% of the fires have been started by people , either deliberate or accidental
Whether accidental or deliberate half are children , a minority elderly , and the most dangerous are those aged between 30 and 60 Ninety percent are male About 10,000 arsonists lurk from the top of Queensland to the southernmost tip of Victoria The great majority grow out of it . |
|
By:
so its just a coincidence the whole country is burning at the same time? seems crazy
|
|
By:
Possibly genetic and other related problems with the Aussies coming to the fore , given the background etc

The children and the more dooey get caught , but many more than 10,000 arsonists might be active

It’s easier to blame the climate isn’t it ?

SYDNEY: Snipers took to helicopters in Australia on Wednesday (Jan 8) to begin a mass cull of up to 10,000 camels as drought drives big herds of the feral animals to search for water closer to remote towns, endangering indigenous communities.
Local officials in South Australia state said "extremely large" herds have been encroaching on rural communities - threatening scarce food and drinking water, damaging infrastructure, and creating a dangerous hazard for drivers. The five-day cull in the Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara (APY) Lands - home to about 2,300 indigenous people in the north-west of South Australia - is the first in the state, local media reported. "These (camel) groups are putting pressure on the remote Aboriginal communities in the APY Lands and the pastoral operations as the camels search for water," the APY Lands executive committee said in a statement. South Australia's environment department, which is supporting the aerial cull, said the drought had also created "critical animal welfare issues" as some camels have died of thirst or trampled each other as they rush to find water. "In some cases dead animals have contaminated important water sources and cultural sites," a spokesperson added. Camels were first introduced to Australia in the 1840s to aid in the exploration of the continent's vast interior, with up to 20,000 imported from India in the six decades that followed. Australia is now thought to have the largest wild camel population in the world, with official estimates suggesting more than one million are roaming the country's inland deserts. The animals are considered a pest, as they foul water sources and trample native flora while foraging for food over vast distances each day. Traditional owners in the APY Lands have for years mustered and sold off feral camels but more recently they have "been unable to manage the scale and number of camels that congregate in dry conditions", according to the environment department. As a result, "up to 10,000 camels will be destroyed in accordance with the highest standards of animal welfare", it added. Public broadcaster ABC reported the animals would be killed away from communities and the carcasses burned. 9 hopefully not triggering another set of bush fires ) Meanwhile fracking wells said to be doing just fine with all the redirected water they receive. #thisworldiskrazy |

In case you didn't read it before,Chemtrails are full of nano particles of heavy metals which added to fire makes the fire burn like crazy as we have seen in California and now in Australia. As they have sprayed pretty much everywhere on Earth with this sh1t,can we expected we will burn at some point soon? When question repeatably dear Alexa when asked how the world would end finally answered "FIRE IT UP",bless the Elite.

I would have thought the mercury was as accurate in 1851 as it is now!
What I don't understand is some of you goons who think the world is not warming up! Do you think it is conspiracy by the LIBERAL ELITES and MAINSTREAM MEDIA to make us all sandal wearing, vegan tree huggers FFS! I am not 100% convinced humans are warming the world up but I am convinced it is getting warmer. The fires in Aus may not have been started by Global warming but they were certainly magnified once they started! I also think many of the fires are caused by arsonists and carelessness not ignited by global warming! People need to wake up......drill baby drill.....burn baby burn......Bonfire of the Vanities! |

I would have thought the mercury was as accurate in 1851 as it is now! The mercury may have been as accurate but the conditions under which temperatures were measured weren't consistent. Stephenson screens weren't in use then: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stevenson_screen Changing the location of where temperatures were recorded also led to problems of obtaining consistent temperature recordings. I suppose I have to repeat this yet again: Charlie • January 7, 2020 4:26 PM GMT https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7860635/Australian-bushfire-crisis-183-people-arrested-24-charged-starting-fires.html Scientists do not say that climate change is causing the fires, but believe it is amplifying the conditions necessary for firestorms to form. Physicist Scott Menor said that even if all the fires were started by arson, 'climate change made the difference between throwing a match in water to throwing it in gasoline'. In addition, analysis by Dr Timothy Graham from the Queensland University of Technology suggests that there may be a deliberate misinformation campaign on Twitter to cast doubt on the effect of climate change. |

By:
Not sure many people disagree that the climate of the world can change.
Whether the world as a whole is warming up is debatable. Many areas don't have data going back any serious length of time. Our Met Office goes back to 1884 which is yesterday in the scheme of things. |

Nothing to do with the Elites he thinks.
Then watch Climate UN UNCED Earth Summit 1992 Video. And if you are still in any doubt "The UN and Central Banks-A Rockafellow and Rothchilds Coup. Learn something guys ffs. |

It may be debatable but the evidence strongly suggests the whole world is warming at an unprecedented rate. Not only is it warming the climate is changing. |
|
By:
A mercury thermometer is a simple device and simple to calibrate so the accuracy is not in doubt. The possible problem is the changing nature of the locality as areas tend to be urbanised which creates heat islands and affects air movement.
Climate change is not in doubt, it has always happened and many factors are involved. The degree caused by humans is open to question and it is rather doubtful that human tinkering with carbon dioxide emissions can act like a thermostat. |

True but modern day methods of recording temperatures, and temperatures at nearby locations, take this into account. Why do you think that "it is rather doubtful that human tinkering with carbon dioxide emissions can act like a thermostat"? |
|
By:
Charlie - you can't say the 'whole world' when many parts of it have little or no data. Those that do rely on a limited timeframe.
The BBC and others have gone overboard in their coverage of the fires in Oz. Yet to hear any condemenation of the arsonists whose carbon burning is off the scale. Instead the ire is directed at Oz cola miners, Govt and other big business. |

The hole in the Ozone Layer is being closed!
There is certainly a need to use energy more efficiently and cleanly. People are dying in major cities around the world from COPD. More people die from that in London each year then terrorism. Denying what is happening to the planet and us is mad. The planet will recover. |
|
By:
Of course in theory drier Bush ( possibly caused by climate change possibly not ) means it’s easier for fire to spread
But how do they know that this is not the case of the widespread destruction is simply down to hundreds , thousands , of new arsonists |
|
By:
Why do you think that "it is rather doubtful that human tinkering with carbon dioxide emissions can act like a thermostat"?
Because there are many other factors involved. Carbon dioxide isn't the only greenhouse gas, water vapour is both effective and far more abundant. Carbon dioxide is soluble in cold water so the sea buffers atmospheric concentrations. (there is a side issue of the sea's pH) The earth's albedo is changing due to ice cover reduction, this can not be reversed quickly. Reducing carbon dioxide levels will be like pushing on a piece of string but I suppose politicians like to be seen to be doing something. |

There is a surprising amount of temperature recording stations across the world plus other methods of 'estimating' historical temperatures. All methods of calculating whether the temperature of the world is going up, down or remaining constant are in agreement; it's going up. I'm not bothered whether the BBC condemns arsonists or anyone else it doesn't change the fact that the world is warming up and climates are changing. |

It is mad but it benefits the Elites and that's why its happening

|
By:
* not the cause
You see you could say that all the fires were started by people ( 87% ) And the fires that they started , would have spread as expected , could in fact have been as bad or worse With no climate change whatsoever having occurred |
|

Foinavon I can't really be bothered looking but here's a quick link:

I’m afraid physicist Scott Menor seems to be confused
|
|
By:
Reducing our emissions is not going to reduce existing levels and will at best reduce the rate of increase in atmospheric carbon dioxide, you can not turn the temperatures down in any meaningful timeframe.
