.
Mr Farage has refused to rule out the prospect of the Brexit Party withdrawing hundreds of election candidates in order to target a small number of Labour-held seats, saying that his strategy would become clear on Friday.

Asked if he was ruling out standing down hundreds of candidates, the party’s leader said: "I've ruled nothing in, I've ruled nothing out. I am making a completely neutral comment ahead of our launch tomorrow."

The remarks follow a report in the Daily Telegraph stating the party was considering slashing the number of would-be MPs it fields in the December 12 General Election in order to concentrate resources on 20-40 Labour seats in Leave areas.

I think the SNP have moved on Trilby since they were known as Tartan Tories and Soon No Pope.

Not a fan of Scottish independence myself, although I think Sturgeon is a decent politician who will take Scotland out the Union if Boris Johnston is elected, odds on with the thumb.

The far right are the biggest threat to their own precious Union with Scotland and the six counties, that there is no doubt.

Governments create discontent by throwing too many people from disparate cultures at the population. Expecting everyone to happily accept this- and the trouble it brings- is quite naive imho.

Hope he withdraws candidates. Basically makes Labour's job for them: a vote for TBP is a vote for the Tories. It's that simple. Landslide.

I'd not heard the pope definition before Laugh Good you're not into independence and Sturgeon is a politician all right.  Decent one?  No.  Epitomy of one?  Aye, absolutely.  From my experience the SNP is an English hating, fascist cult.  With Ashford calling the shots in the Commons, your term "racist clowns" would suit them much more than the BP.  How do you form that opinion anyway?

The far right?  Who are they?  Please don't confuse them with people who are right of centre.  There is a huge difference.

May I enquire as to your username btw and have you connections with Malaysia?  I spent my childhood out that way and visited the country regularly.  Fantastic place!

Anxious, go to your room you naughty boy!

As a former resident of both Pollokshields and Shawlands (which pretty much sit at either end of Govanhill) and a regular drinker in the place itself, I can confirm it is an absolute pit of filth.

PP, if Boris doesn't agree to work with the BP, I'll give up my tory vote here, stick to my principles by voting BP and will (imo) watch Anxious's mates get decimated to leave a Lab / Lib / SNP coalition - which will then completely decimate what's left of our once fine and great country.

Anyway, c'mon Boz, sack that Cummings weasel and agree a deal with Farage - for the sake of the country!  I'd sooner vote remain than vote tory with that stinking Surrender Act Mk II they currently have on the table Angry

Dear Brexiteer,

This morning in Westminster I launched our campaign for the December General Election. This will be a Brexit General Election and we have a big role to play.

Here are some of the main points I made today.

Boris Johnson’s deal is not Brexit.
It is essentially Theresa May’s appalling deal reheated. Boris is trying to sell us a second-hand car – he’s polished the bonnet a bit, but underneath it’s still Mrs May’s terrible treaty. It will tie us to EU rules for years on everything from financial services to fishing.

The General Election gives us a chance to press the reset button.
I urge the Prime Minister to reconsider and drop the deal because it’s not Brexit. If he does then I am more than willing to compromise too and put country before party.

If Boris goes for a Free Trade Agreement with the EU, we will back it.
A simple FTA should be agreed by July 1st, 2020. That must mean no new EU Treaty. No new negotiations on the impossible basis of Msr Barnier’s Withdrawal Agreement and Political Declaration. No signing us up to any political linkage to the EU or the authority of EU courts.

On that basis we can form a Leave alliance for the General Election.
It would involve not only the Conservatives and The Brexit Party, but some Labour Brexiteers too. A Leave alliance can win a big majority in Parliament and get a real Brexit done. There are around 150 seats in Leave-voting areas where the Conservatives have never won and they won’t win this time. Only The Brexit Party can beat Corbyn’s Remainer Labour in those seats.

We have two weeks to sort out a Leave alliance, before the election nominations close on November 14th.

After 25 years of fighting for Brexit I hope and pray that it happens. But if not, if the Conservatives turn down our offer and stick to their deal, then we will be the only party that represents Brexit in this election. That’s why we need your support.

If the Conservatives do refuse our offer of a non-aggression pact, I promise we will do two things.

First, we will make sure that every household in this country is informed exactly what is in this Treaty, and all the ways in which it would sell out Brexit.

And second, we will contest every seat in England, Scotland and Wales. The only exceptions will be where individual MPs have rejected the deal and backed a real Brexit, then we will be prepared to treat them as our friends.

For us in The Brexit Party, the issue matters far more than the party.

All of us are prepared to put country before party. We know a Leave alliance will be to our advantage, to the Conservatives’ advantage — and most importantly, to Britain’s advantage. The alternative, of seeing the Withdrawal Agreement pass into law, would spell the end of Brexit.

The betrayal of Brexit by Parliament and the political class highlights the need for fundamental political reform.

That’s why we are standing, not only for Brexit, but to Change Politics for Good. As our party chairman Richard Tice spelled out at this morning’s launch, we want to reform the first-past-the-post election system and abolish the unelected House of Lords. We want to end the habit of MPs switching parties without standing for re-election and end the corruption of the postal vote system. And we want to challenge the Supreme Court’s ever-expanding role in politics. There will need to be more referendums on these issues.

On the biggest referendum of all, the other political parties appear to have forgotten what the Brexit vote was about.

People voted for Britain to be a self-governing, independent nation. In short, those 17.4m voted for Brexit. And they deserve to get it. That’s why we need your support.

Thank you for your continuing support. There will be no proper Brexit without us. And we cannot do it without you.

I think I may know you're watering hole in Govanhill Trilby. A mate of mine used to say about Govanhill, "you either come from Bengal or Donegal". I like Govanhill, particularly the Cafe, and the Titwood, although a while since I've been in that area.
I've heard there are some euorpeans robbing to order down that way currently, shame they all couldn't be as good as Hagi ? We would certainly find them jobs if they were.

It was always the intention of Johnson and the Tories to bring back a lipsticked version of May's deal and, in case of an election victory, to betray the people.

Not one true Brexiter stood in the leadership election. Only remainers and, covert remainers and charlatans. Back then the Tory members should've made clear to their party that none of the candidates were even remotely acceptable.

I'm not quite sure but I think more Scots voted Leave than voted SNP at the last election.  I'm more sure around 1/3 of SNP voters voted for Brexit.  I am absolutely positive I will be pulled up in here if incorrect Grin Perhaps someone could confirm my thoughts are correct?

Both of these votes were a long time ago now, the landscape has changed I believe. I think SNP voters are sure to be 90-95 % remain now.

Brexit is essentially 2 drunks in a pub who argued who was the better player Beckham or Giggs ? and continue to have it every week despite neither actually gave a fcuck when they had the initial argument, and the Beckham fan knows he was talking **** but won't back down now 3 years later.

It's sad really because it has allowed a moron like Johnston become PM.

My personal opinion is Brexit is a really bad idea for 2 main reasons, I believe freedom of movement in the EU is a great thing, allowing young people to explore different opportunities without a lot of red tape (hence why the younger generation voted remain), also breaking away from you're main economic partners when you actually haven't fallen out with them over any major issue, is a really stupid thing to be doing, and lacks any logic.

The ironic thing is if this did turn out to be good for the economy, it will not be in the short term, it will be 15 to 20 years away and the OAPs who carried the leave vote through will nearly all be dead.

They need to put the deal and the facts on any future agreements with the EU and more importantly any future bend over agreements with the USA to a vote.

Farage doesn't want brexit as pointed out elsewhere

He's relevant with this going on and on, he offers absolutely nothing else once its done

His best result is to split the vote up, get Labour in with the Lib Dems through the back door, get brexit scrapped altogether, and then he can spend the next decade in parliament telling everyone he'll deliver "brexit". You'll find most of these "brexiteers" are exactly the same, they've turned it into a party name ffs.
